Former Cowboys running back Marion Barber has died.

Barber, a fourth-round pick of the Cowboys in 2005, was found dead in his apartment in Frisco, Texas, per Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Barber’s cause of death is not currently known. He was 38, nine days shy of his 39th birthday.

After his release in 2010, he was signed by the Bears in 2011. He played 11 games and announced his retirement from the NFL in 2012.

Rest In Power MB. One of the toughest, most physical players that I’ve ever seen. And as good a player as he was, he was an even better teammate. Prayers up for his family and loved ones
