Michael B Jordan Is Joining OnlyFans

Michael B. Jordan is capitalizing on the honor of being named People’s sexiest man alive in 2020 by making an OnlyFans account. Jordan has been acting since he was just a young kid, starring in HBO’s acclaimed police drama The Wire back in 2002. The young actor has become a household name thanks to his roles as the eponymous boxer in Creed and its sequel, and as supervillain Erik Killmonger in Black Panther. Most recently he starred as an idealistic law school graduate in Just Mercy and will serve as a producer on the upcoming superhero film, Static Shock.

Now Jordan has made headlines as the sexiest man alive according to People magazine, taking the title from last year’s winner, singer-songwriter John Legend. He joins the ranks of the likes of Ryan Reynolds and Idris Elba, all the way back to Mel Gibson, the inaugural winner in 1985. As a tongue-in-cheek bit of political satire, 2016 winner Dwayne Johnson refused to concede the title to Jordan. Speaking about his career in response to the win, Jordan said he owes his success career-wise to his parents’ support. Apparently, it’s not the only thing he has to thank them for.

Hoping to diversify his assets in the wake of the win, Jordan told Jimmy Kimmel that he’ll be starting an OnlyFans. Kimmel and Jordan joked around about the win for a while before getting on the topic of facial hair. Apparently, like many during quarantine, Jordan wanted to see how much hair he could grow on his face, cultivating a “beyond Steve Harvey level mustache.” Beyond satisfying his curiosity, Jordan said he and his barber have decided to start an OnlyFans dedicated to his mustache. Staying on theme, all proceeds from the subscription-based site will go to a barber school to help that industry after the major hit it has taken due to the pandemic. “I’m actually gonna start one. But all the proceeds are gonna go towards a barber school. During the quarantine, there’s been so many businesses and schools shut down. My barber Joe and the whole team, we’ve been plotting on that. We’re gonna work the system.”

Leave it to Jordan to make his OnlyFans about a noble pursuit. As the site has a reputation for hosting pornographic content, starting an OnlyFans dedicated to his mustache is hilarious. Giving the money to a good cause, however, is definitely a smart choice. Actress Bella Thorne started an OnlyFans back in August as part of her research for a role and became the center of controversy. Thorne earned $1 million very quickly and falsely advertised racy content at a high price, causing customers to demand chargebacks, and forcing the site to limit the amount of money that its creators can charge. Adult industry workers using OnlyFans became very upset as the limit would directly impact their main source of income, all because of what they saw as the meddling of a big name.

Good on Jordan for hopefully avoiding the pitfalls of his predecessor, and what a way to be charitable. Beyond using mustache porn to help aspiring barbers, Michael B. Jordan has stated that he wants to use his position to enact change in Hollywood. Given his recognizability, he seeks to use his platform to influence the kinds of stories that will be told in the future, and open the doors for diversifying the entertainment industry for generations to come. For now, he’s using his platform to promote the sexiest Movember in history.
