The upcoming free-to-play 2v2 platform fighter, MultiVersus, will feature characters from various Warner Bros. properties like Game of Thrones and DC Comics, with many famous actors reprising their roles as them in-game. The clash of all these different genres and mediums feels like a fever dream, but the game will be an actual thing available for players in 2022. Right now only 13 playable characters and their voice actors have been revealed, but this is set to grow once the game is released.

Since MultiVersus is going to be free-to-play, it will likely see many different characters added during its lifespan. It’s possible that anything that Warner Bros. has the license to could make an appearance sooner or later. There is at least one plus to having such a large company behind the game, though: it means that some of the actors who brought to life the most iconic versions of these characters will reprise their roles.

Maisie Williams will voice Game of Thrones’ Arya Stark in MultiVersus, reprising her role from the series. With how beloved the character is, fans likely would have been displeased if the assassin-swordswoman was voiced by anyone else. Soon enough, players will be able to make Arya kick all sorts of interdimensional butt, including Bugs Bunny’s, as strange as the idea sounds. Other actors who have portrayed WB-owned characters in animation and live-action are set to join her, which should add a level of authenticity to the title.

He wasn’t Bugs in this particular film, but he’s the 7th person to be added to the list of folks who have portrayed the character, joining Mel Blanc, Jeff Bergman, Joe Alaskey, Greg Burson and others.

Reindog looks like a cute canine that might get along with Scooby-Doo, but the developers behind the game haven’t revealed much about him yet.

Scooby-Doo’s Shaggy Rogers is also confirmed to be in MultiVersus. He’s voiced by Matthew Lillard, who played Shaggy in the live-action 2002 Scooby-Doo film and its sequel, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. Since Shaggy’s original voice actor retired, he’s been the one voicing the character in almost all subsequent iterations. Fans can rest easy knowing that MultiVersus will have only the highest quality of “zoinks!” when turning on Shaggy’s ultra-instinct mode.

Some of her other video game roles are Maya Fey of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice and Pod 153 of NieR: Automata. Anime fans may recognize her as Nezuko’s voice in Demon Slayer.

MultiVersus will be the first time Trott voices Wonder Woman, with the character’s previous video game appearances being voiced by Susan Eisenberg and Laura Bailey. Superman, though, will be voiced by a longtime voice actor of the character, George Newbern. Superman has been voiced by several people, but Newbern is one of the most well-known. She has an impressive range of sarcasm and sweetness that makes her perfect for Harley, as she is both Raven of Teen Titans and Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls. She’s already voiced several iterations of Harley Quinn, and was the first voice actor to replace Arleen Sorkin in the role in 2011’s Batman: Arkham City.

Batman may be dead in the Gotham Knights video game, but 2022 will at least bring him to MultiVersus. Batman will be voiced by Kevin Conroy, who is one of the most well-known voice actors for the character. His first time as the Dark Knight was in Batman: The Animated Series, which won four Emmy Awards and is considered by many to be one of the best comic book adaptations ever. Conroy went on to reprise the role in various DC Animated Universe shows, before later voicing the character in Rocksteady’s seminal Batman: Arkham games.

Steven Universe will also be joining the fray, leaving fans to wonder what other Cartoon Network characters may be in MultiVersus. Steven himself will be voiced by Daniel Divenere, replacing Zach Callison in the role. Although it may be disappointing for fans of Steven Universe not to hear Callison’s voice in the game, Divenere should hopefully be solid in the role.

Garnet, however, will be voiced by the actor who voiced them in Steven Universe, Estelle. Estelle is perhaps best known as a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, but she was a highlight of Steven Universe as the Crystal Gems’ iconic fusion, Garnet. Players and fans of the series can expect Garnet to sound exactly as they remember.

Jeremy Shada And John DiMaggio Reprise Their Adventure Time Roles In MultiVersus

Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time will also be in the game, starting with two characters from the series. MultiVersus will likely add DLC characters in the future, so perhaps Bubblegum and Marceline will eventually be added. For now, Finn the Human will be voiced by Jeremy Shada, who portrayed the character in the original series.

Jake the Dog will be voiced by John DiMaggio, with the actor reprising his role from the original Adventure Time series. Like several other members of the MultiVersus cast, he’s been a beloved voice actor for a long time too. Fans may also remember him as Bender from Futurama. He’s been many characters and his list of roles has grown large, but he’s frequently the tough-and-burly type (or sometimes a stretchy dog).

The game won’t be out for a while, so there’s plenty of time for more characters to be announced for MultiVersus to be announced. Warner Bros. has its entire library to call upon with MultiVersus, which should lead to all sorts of bizarre and unexpected matchups. The presence of the voice actors means that the MultiVersus characters will have excellent portrayals, but here’s hoping that its later additions will have a similar level of star power to back them up.
