An incredibly stylish and slightly villainous new cosplay has taken Reddit by storm, one that has seemingly ripped the villainous Mr. Compress straight from the pages of My Hero Academia. Mr. Compress is a villain associated with the League of Villains, though unlike other bad guys, he doesn’t commit any atrocious acts without first adding a sense of style. That stylish villainy is perfectly captured in all-new cosplay that is paired right next to a panel from a My Hero Academia manga for comparison.

Mr. Compress aka Atsuhiro Sako made his first manga appearance in My Hero Academia Chapter 80 by Kohei Horikoshi. Mr. Compress was a member of a villain group known as the League of Villains and was a member of the organization’s Vanguard Action Squad. Mr. Compress started a life of crime after he decided to follow in the footsteps of his ancestor, fellow criminal Peerless Thief which leads Mr. Compress to become the villain fans know and love today.

A Reddit post by user Gio August shows the cosplayer dressed as Mr. Compress with a picture of the character from the manga posted right alongside his real-life counterpart. The similarities are astounding as August brings to life the iconic My Hero Academia villain. The face of the foe is spot-on with the hat and the rest of the stylish outfit including a trench coat and the red-gloved hands to match. Plus, the cosplayer added another element of Mr. Compress into the cosplay that shows off more than the villain’s stylish looks.

Not only is the appearance of Mr. Compress perfect in relation to the manga counterpart, but the character’s personality is also put on full display being incredibly accurate to Atsuhiro’s. The cosplayer is pointing a finger gun at the camera, offering a bit of showmanship to the photo just as Mr. Compress does in each of his appearances in My Hero Academia. Mr. Compress makes everything he does entertaining, adding a bit of an arrogantly humorous flair to his misdoings, just as the cosplayer has done while showing off the impressive display.
