Neo Becomes a BuildABear With MatrixThemed Plush

Build-A-Bear has announced the release of a Neo-inspired collector edition item with the company’s first-ever Matrix Bear. The news of this exciting collectors item comes just days before the release of the fourth installment in the Matrix film series, The Matrix Resurrections. The original Matrix trilogy began in 1999 with the third and presumably final film being released in 2003, making the newest Matrix movie the first in almost 20 years. Keanu Reeves is back to reprise his role as the series lead, Neo, the anomalous savior of the human race, also known as The One.

Fans can now snag the first-ever Matrix Bear exclusively through Build-A-Bear just in time for their Matrix-themed holidays. Inspired by the original trilogy, the Matrix bear is scatter printed with a green and black digital design throughout it’s fur, with a black trench coat and sunglasses combo to match Neo’s famed movie attire. The sci-fi superhero-inspired bear comes complete with a Matrix logo sewn adorably on the bear’s paw and is available exclusively online.

Fans can expect to see Reeves donning the same cyberpunk outfit as the Build-A-Bear collectible in the highly anticipated upcoming film The Matrix Resurrections. Besides Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Jada Pinkett Smith will be reprising their Matrix roles, with franchise newcomers Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Christina Ricci, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Jessica Henwick also joining the cast. Audiences and their sci-fi Build-A-Bear collectobles can plug into The Matrix Resurrections in theaters and HBO Max on December 22.
