Netflix The Best New TV Shows & Movies This Weekend (November 19)

This weekend, Netflix is welcoming the second series of a very popular true-crime docuseries, a Christmas rom-com, the live-action version of a famous anime series, and the movie adaptation of a musical. Although cinemas around the world are open again and studios are finally releasing all those movies they had to delay due to the coronavirus pandemic, streaming platforms haven’t lost any force. As people gradually go back to cinemas, most still prefer to get their dose of entertainment through streaming services, and in Netflix’s case, its subscribers are treated to new licensed and original content every week.

Last weekend saw the arrival of the animated Christmas movie All I Want For Christmas Is You, along with the black-and-white drama movie Passing, the Brazilian drama movie 7 Prisoners, the Christmas movie A Boy Called Christmas, and the action-comedy Red Notice. This weekend will see more licensed content than last week, with the romance movie Snowbound for Christmas, the comedies American Pie: Reunion and Here Comes the Boom, seasons 21 and 22 of America’s Next Top Model, and seasons 16 and 37 of Survivor.

As for original content, Netflix will bring the second series of a very popular true-crime docuseries, the third movie in The Princess Switch series, the live-action version of one of the most popular anime series out there, and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s directorial debut.
