Blushing Beach (Day) is one of the liveliest courses in New Pokemon Snap as well as one of the first that players will unlock. They’ll gain access to it after they’ve been given Illumina Orbs and reached research level 2 in the Jungle (Night) course. As Sweltering Sands (Day) is unlocked at the same time, some players may opt to head there first, although the order that players choose to tackle the courses really doesn’t matter too much.
Blushing Beach features two routes, both of which are available from the very beginning, although the majority of the course’s Pokemon can be found without straying from the default route. There are 16 different types to track down in total, but just about all of them show up elsewhere in the game so there’s no need to look too hard. The course does contain a few unique three and four star photo opportunities though, so those hoping to fully complete their New Pokemon Snap Photodex will likely be spending quite a bit of time on its sandy beaches.
Every Pokemon In Blushing Beach (Day)
Research Level 1
- Crabrawler – There are a few Crabrawler hanging out on the beach where players begin the course as well as one on a sandbar near the end.
- Exeggutor – Like Crabrawler, there are Exeggutor around the first and last beach areas, not to mention the sleeping one that’s blocking the player’s path. It’s possible to lure the two wandering Exeggutor on the first beach over to the sleeping one to get a four-star photo, but it really isn’t easy to pull off.
- Wingull – Wingull can be found all over the Beach (Day) course, but the best times to get a photo of one are either near the beginning or the end of the course.
- Pikachu – Pikachu likes to hang out on beaches and can be photographed on both the one on which players begin the course as well as the one on which they end it. If players guide the second Pikachu to the nearby sandbank, they’ll get a four star photo opportunity for both Pikachu and Stunfisk.
- Bellossom – There are three Bellossom over by the sleeping Exeggutor that’s blocking the player’s path. Using the Melody Player will summon two more from some nearby bushes for a total of five, but only the two late arrivals will respond to the player using scan.
- Vivillon – Vivillon first appears after players pass the spot where Exeggutor was sleeping and can be seen again if players take the default route over the rocks.
- Pyukumuku – There are two Pyukumuku on a rock near the point where the paths branch off. If players choose to follow the default route over the rocks, they’ll see plenty more of them too, although they won’t get anywhere near as close as they do to the first pair.
- Corsola – Players will see a couple of Corsola if they head out over the rocks. At higher research levels, an additional one will spawn in nearby which allows players to get much better closeup photos. Hitting it with an Illumina Orb and then illuminating the nearby Crystabloom will lead to it posing for a four star photo.
- Finneon – There are a few different schools of Finneon around the rocky area. Getting a good picture won’t be easy though as they’re very small and the NEO-ONE doesn’t get particularly close.
- Machamp – Initially, the only way to see Machamp in the Beach (Day) course is to take the alternate route and find it on the private beach, although at higher research levels another one will show up over on the rocks. If players throw a Fluffruit into the water in front of it, it will dive in and swim around to the beach at the very end of the course.
- Octillery – If players take the alternate route, they’ll find an Octillery hanging out on the private beach with Machamp. There’s also another one in the water nearby.
- Stunfisk – As well as the hidden one near the underwater Octillery that reveals itself if players use scan, there are a few additional Stunfisk flapping around on the beach and nearby sandbanks at the very end of the course.
Research Level 2
- Alolan Raichu – Once players reach research level 2 a pair of Alolan Raichu will start surfing on the beach at the end of the course. At research level 3, one of them comes in a little closer than it originally was which increases the chances of getting a decent photo. They can even be photographed together if players really want to, although lining up and timing the shot really isn’t easy.
Research Level 3
- Lapras – Upon reaching research level 3, players will be able to find a Lapras immediately to the right of the point where they first spawn in. There’ll also be another one swimming towards them as they head towards the final beach section at the end of the course.
- Blastoise – There’s a Blastoise at the very start of the final strip of beach, although initially it’s asleep in its shell. A few well placed Fluffruit should be enough to wake it though, at which point hitting it with an Illumina Orb can have some interesting effects.
- Squirtle – The Squirtle that shows up in Beach (Day) just might be the hardest Pokemon to photograph in the entire game. It’s riding on the back of the Lapras at the very end of the course, although due to the huge size of Lapras’ hitbox, getting the camera to recognize Squirtle is incredibly difficult. It is possible, but it might take players a few attempts to get the photo to track.
