While some claim that he is frozen in time after the Generation 1 Pokémon Mewtwo turned him into stone, others feel that Ash went into a coma and most of the show takes place in his head. However, as is the recurring gag in every episode, Ash and his peers can hardly detect Jessie, James, and Meowth when they’re in disguise.
