Niantic has announced that Galarian Mr. Mime, as well as its evolution Mr. Rime, will be coming to the popular mobile game Pokémon GO next week as part of a research event. Although Mr. Mime is normally a psychic-fairy type, its Galarian counterpart is psychic-ice. The Galar region is the most recent region in the Pokémon series, as it made its debut in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield last year. The region is largely inspired by U.K. culture.

Mr. Rime was introduced in the franchise through Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Mr. Mime is one of the original 151 Pokémon from the series’ first generation, and it didn’t receive any evolutionary forms until Pokémon’s most recent mainline installment. Pokémon GO received its first Galarian form with Weezing when Sword and Shield first released. The mobile game later received Galarian Meowth, Zigzagoon, Sunfisk, Daramuka, and all of their evolved forms, as well.

According to a blog post on the official Pokémon GO website, Galarian Mr. Mime’s event will begin on Saturday, December 19, starting at 10 a.m., and last until Sunday, December 21 at 8 p.m. All times are local to the player’s time zone. This event comes with other benefits, too. Jynx, Swinub, Spoink, Woobat, Cubchoo, and other currently undisclosed Pokémon will be attracted to Incense more often. Luckier players may even come across a Shiny Cubchoo. Incense will be also more effective at attracting all Pokémon during the event, and the Incense will last for three hours.

Get ready to tap your fingers and feet—Galarian Mr. Mime is making its first appearance in Pokémon GO! 🕺 The Dancing Pokémon and its Evolution, Mr. Rime will soon be coming to the world of Pokémon GO in a ticketed Special Research story event. https://t.co/oVWUJ5xL7U pic.twitter.com/uXjtGdZoZm

Tickets, priced at $7.99, will be available for purchase until Dec. 20 at 6 p.m. local time. They can only be purchased with real money and not PokéCoins, and they’ll unlock additional bonuses. During the event, ticketed players will complete numerous tasks, several of which involve encounters with Alolan forms of Jigglypuff, Vulpix, Jynx, Whismur, Chimecho, and Snorunt. As additional incentives, participants will earn three Incense, three Rare Candies, 30 Ultra Balls, three Premium Battle Passes, one Poffin, two Glacial Lure Modules, three Super Incubators, and three Star Pieces as rewards. Participants will also earn a new Mr.-Mime-inspired avatar pose.

Unsurprisingly, some Pokémon GO players aren’t happy that some of the content for this event is locked behind a paywall. Whenever Pokémon GO tries to charge for additional content in its otherwise free-to-pay structure, players have complained, but gating an entire new type of Pokémon seems to be especially unwelcome.

Considering that there are only a handful of Galarian forms in the increasingly large Pokémon GO, Galarian Mr. Mime and Mr. Rime are both worthy additions. It’s an interesting shake-up to receive different types of existing Pokémon, as well, because it adds to the strategy of the game and makes collecting the Pokémon themselves all the more rewarding. Although regional forms are not nearly as rare as Shiny Pokémon, it’s still fun to have differently colored variants of fan-favorite Pokémon, even if they don’t imply the same bragging rights.
