For so many people, reality TV was taken to a completely new level when The Real Housewives franchise took off. With over nine spinoffs from the original, The Real Housewives of Orange County (2006), this Bravo juggernaut only seems to grow larger. The housewives won’t be leaving screens any time soon.

Love them or hate them, the housewives know how to deliver drama, and always find sassy one-liners to pull out of the woodwork during some heated moments. The ladies are required to record a tagline for the opening credits, a statement that expresses who they are and what to expect from them on the show, but some housewives’ taglines outweigh the rest.

Some taglines perfectly encapsulate a housewife’s essence, while others lack explanation. But with so many housewives who have been a part of the franchise for multiple seasons, which taglines are the best in Real Housewives history?

15 “The Secret To This Pretty Face Is Staying In The Shade.” – Gizelle Bryant, RHOP (Season 6)

In the most recent season of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Gizelle dishes out one of the best taglines that Bravo fans have heard in a while: “The secret to this pretty face is staying in the shade.”

While known for her beauty, Gizelle is also famous for her epic fights and shady one-liners. She knows exactly what she’s doing on RHOP and plays the part well. This season’s tagline describes her to a tee.

14 “I May Be Married To A Plastic Surgeon, But I’m 98 Percent Real.” – Heather Dubrow, RHOC (Season 7)

What makes Heather Dubrow such a fun addition to The Real Housewives of Orange County is her relationship with her husband Terry, a plastic surgeon. The couple is wildly wealthy and looks fantastic due to their love for the fountain of youth.

Because of her connection to the plastic surgery world, Heather’s tagline in season 7 is spot-on. It’s forward, it’s fun, and it’s light-hearted — just like Heather.

13 “I Won Miss USA, Not Miss Congeniality.” – Kenya Moore, RHOA (Season 5)

Kenya Moore is the quintessential housewife. She’s stunning, she’s smart, and she knows how to play a part on TV. She has transformed over the years, but Kenya is often portrayed as the ultimate villain in various storylines throughout The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

More importantly, Kenya was once Miss USA before joining the RHOA roster and it shaped a large part of her life. But just because she’s a former Miss USA doesn’t mean she has to be Miss Congeniality!

Eileen Davidson had such a fun part on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills because of her connection to both Hollywood and the other housewives.

Davidson is a serious actress who is most known for her time in soap operas, which is where she met Lisa Rinna. Her tagline perfectly describes her personality and her job while also being sassy and fun.

11 “I Used To Flip Tables, Now I’m Turning Them.” – Teresa Giudice, RHONJ (Season 7)

In season 7 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa calls back to an iconic moment from season 1 in her tagline. She made a name for herself when she flipped a table at dinner after getting into an argument with Danielle Staub. It was a moment Teresa will never live down.

But after a couple of years, marital issues, and a stint in jail, Teresa is a changed woman. Instead of flipping tables at friends and enemies, Teresa is transforming into a more mature, level-headed woman, as shown in this tagline.

10 “If You Can’t Be Cool, You Can’t Be With The Countess.” – Luann de Lesseps, RHONY (Season 8)

Luann de Lesseps is notorious for always including her oh-so-important title of Countess in her taglines for The Real Housewives of New York, and this one is no exception. Typically, Luann’s taglines can be stale, but in season 8, fans supported Luann in a play-on-words. This tagline references the classic argument she and previous housewife Heather Thompson got into during a cast trip to Turks and Caicos when Heather was upset she walked in on a naked man next door to the room she was staying in.

After interrogating wild-child Luann about the mysterious man, Luann plainly explains it shouldn’t matter to Heather whether or not a man stayed in her room.“Be cool. Don’t be all, like, uncool,” has to be one of the most supreme RHONY quotes to date.

9 “The Queen Of Diamonds Always Has An Ace Up Her Sleeve.” – Lisa Vanderpump, RHOBH (Season 8)

Lisa Vanderpump sounds incredibly coy when she delivers this season 8 tagline. She often refers to herself as the “Queen of Diamonds” and even has a previous tagline in season 3 that mentions the gemstone: “Life isn’t all diamonds and rosé… but it should be!”

LVP is also a major fan of a decent pun and never resists the opportunity to express her unabashed humor. Lisa has some of the best quotes in RHOBH because of her cheeky references and the fact that she always has an ace up her sleeve.

8 “There’s Nothing Grey About My Gardens.” – Sonja Morgan, RHONY (Season 9)

Here, Sonja is referencing the previous season’s drama revolving around fellow housewife Tinsley Mortimer, who stayed at Sonja’s townhouse for some months while making comments about things looking dusty and grey.

Sonja and Ramona’s BFF antics might be headache-inducing to some, but the Ramona-Coaster and Sonja-Rita recipe always turns out amusing. Fans can’t help but support the two of them and their antics.

7 “I’m An Acquired Taste; If You Don’t Like Me, Acquire Some Taste!” -Ramona Singer, RHONY (Season 9)

This Ramona Singer tagline perfectly sums up The Real Housewives of New York City. It’s witty, it’s tongue-in-cheek, it’s bossy, and it doesn’t let fans down — just like the cast. Ramona always seems to deliver the attitude in her taglines, and this is a prime example. She’s definitely an acquired taste and not everybody’s cup of tea, as Ramona has done plenty of things she can’t live down.

Though she’s not necessarily the most tactful, Ramona’s tagline points out that she doesn’t care if you don’t like her — she’ll just judge you for your poor taste!

6 “Don’t Mess With The Boss, Because You Might Get Fired.” – Kandi Burruss, RHOA (Season 10)

Though this Real Housewives of Atlanta tagline may appear flat, once viewers are acquainted with the drama between Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks, suddenly Kandi’s words pack a much stronger punch. According to Bravo, during the previous season of Real Housewives of Atlanta, Phaedra spread some malicious rumors about Kandi and her husband, Todd Tucker.

After Phaedra’s claims were made public during the season 9 reunion, she was promptly fired from Real Housewives of Atlanta. Going back to Kandi’s tagline, the reference is both a burn and a bold reminder of who’s the boss.

5 “I’d Rather Spend My Life Kicking A** Than Kissing It.” – Brandi Glanville, RHOBH (Season 5)

Said in former housewife’s Brandi’s sprightly tone, this season 5 tagline couldn’t deliver a better way to express Brandi’s overall attitude and school of thought. Brandi loves to swear, so she happily took the opportunity to fuse some dirty language into her tagline.

Brandi is a no-nonsense woman who wears her heart on her sleeve. Even though she has a major soft side, she never kisses anyone’s backside.

4 “I Believe In Excess Of Everything… Except Moderation.” – Dorit Kemsley, RHOBH (Season 8)

Dorit’s season 8 tagline is the perfect personification for what the Real Housewives represents: living luxuriously. This tagline is a hilarious contradiction that also flawlessly mirrors Dorit’s character. Hover-the-top attitude and spending habits prove that she is never one for moderation. Even Dorit’s closest friends mock her for her matching designer threads, but Dorit has the last laugh with some of the best quotes and one of the best Real Housewives taglines.

3 “If You’re Going To Talk About Me Behind My Back, At Least Check Out My Great A**.” – Carole Radziwill, RHONY (Season 6)

Carole Radziwill is usually right and even-keeled in arguments with the women, but this housewife has a naughty side she’s not afraid to express.

In season 5 of RHONY, Sonja made multiple comments about how great of a bum Carole has, pointing it out to Ramona and Heather as they’re flaunting their toned bikini bodies during an ocean adjacent vacation. Carole’s season 6 tagline is sassy and playful, which describes her vibe perfectly.

2 “When People Tell Me I’m Fake, I Know They’re Just Pulling My Leg.” – Aviva Drescher, RHONY (Season 6)

This is another wonderful Real Housewives of New York City tagline, addressed by one of the most polarizing housewives in the franchise’s history, Aviva Drescher. After calling Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan “white trash” in season 5, Aviva provides one of the most iconic RHONY moments in the show’s many seasons when she slams her prosthetic leg on the dinner table in the finale of season 6, exclaiming: “The only thing that is artificial or fake about me… is this!”

This self-deprecating, comical tagline is pure Aviva. The notorious housewife has a good sense of humor and can poke fun at herself as a past housewife on RHONY.

1 “I’m Passionate About Dogs, Just Not Crazy About B*tches.” – Lisa Vanderpump, RHOBH (Season 6)

There’s a reason why Lisa Vanderpump’s taglines are so good — her saucy, audacious one-liners always bring the heat! This one impeccably describes Lisa, who is vocal for dogs and animal rights activism.

The inflection in Lisa’s voice when she delivers the second portion of her tagline reveals her frank demeanor, foreshadowing the upcoming drama season 6 Real Housewives of Beverly Hills presents.
