Outside of Jen Shah’s earnings on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, she also benefits from the coaching salary earned by her husband, Coach Sharrieff Shah. As RHOSLC viewers know, Coach Shah works as a college football coach and takes home a salary that has put him among the highest-paid NCAA coaches. Recently, fans have looked into Coach Shah’s salary as his wife faces up to 20 years in prison for felony fraud charges. While Jen pleads her innocence in court, her husband has been responsible for supporting his family.

Jen will be back for RHOSLC season 2, which will give an inside look into her arrest earlier this year. The outspoken drama starter had already been under fire among fans who grew tired of her erratic behavior and lack of accountability. Alas, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 2 is only showing that Jen has seemingly not gotten any better. Instead, she appears to be launching her tirades against people’s children. Meanwhile, Jen is still a wife and mother to her two teenage sons with Sharrieff. Despite how much fans dislike Jen, Sharrieff is still well-received by the cast and viewers. Coach Shah is definitely Jen’s saving grace on the show.

Right now, Coach Shah is also serving as Jen’s financial savior given that she’s had her bank accounts taken over by the US government. USA Today recently released a list of the highest-paid NCAA coaches and Sharrieff made the list. The cornerbacks/special teams coordinator came in at the 211th spot with a $450,000 annual salary. In turn, Open Payrolls noted that Sharrieff raked in earnings of $553,215.17 for the 2020 school year. This hefty salary includes Coach Shah’s bonuses, benefits, retirement, and pension packages. Sharrieff negotiated a good deal for himself considering that he’s making 683.2% more than the average salary for university and college employees and 738.9% percent above the national average for government employees.

On The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Jen has opened up about missing her husband when he’s away on the road for work. Sharrieff has even used some of his life coaching techniques with his wife. However, many viewers became upset with Sharrieff after they watched him seemingly coddle his wife despite her immature behavior throughout RHOSLC season 1. In turn, Jen opened up RHOSLC season 2 revealing that Sharrieff almost divorced her in recent months due to her angry outbursts. He even went as far as contacting a divorce lawyer behind his wife’s back. Overall, it was the reality check that Jen needed, and it came just ahead of her shocking fraud arrest.

Sharrieff is remaining by Jen’s side as she handles her legal affairs, but her charges are not to be taken lightly. Jen is looking at prison time if she can’t come up with a good defense against her charges. She’s accused of running a nationwide telemarketing scheme that targeted unsuspecting victims and solicited services that they never received. Jen’s end on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City could be impending if she’s sent to prison.
