Now available for pre-order, a new Hot Toy figure captures the likeness of actor Richard E. Grant’s Classic Loki from the Disney+ series, Loki.

Fans of Loki will one day be able to own their own Classic Loki figure from Hot Toys.

Set to release in mid-2023, a new figure from Sideshow Collectibles captures the likeness of actor Richard E. Grant, who portrayed Classic Loki in the Disney+ series. The Hot Toy allows owners to recreate many Classic Loki moments from the series, stretching from his introduction while clutching a travel bag to his death, which left nothing but his damaged helmet behind. However, there is a lot more to this figure.

Standing at approximately 12.2″ tall, the body of the figure features 30 points of articulations with two interchangeable faces and seven interchangeable hands. The figure captures the attire worn by Classic Loki, which was made to look like the character’s wardrobe from the earlier years of Marvel Comics. Other accessories for the figure include Alligator Loki (nicknamed “Croki”), the battle-damaged helmet left after Classic Loki’s death and a jar containing Throg. There are also green magic effect accessories so fans can pose Classic Loki to look how he does during his ultimate sacrifice in the episode “Journey Into Mystery,” when he magically reconstructs Asgard to fool the monstrous Alioth.

Over the summer, Grant previously discussed how “gleeful” he was about the fan response to his Loki variant appearing in the series. Star Tom Hiddleston imagined a “big response” would result from Grant’s appearance, but the actor was doubtful until it actually came about. “I saw my Instagram and Twitter feed and the reviews came out last Wednesday and I realized that he saw into the crystal ball in a way that I didn’t. So Tom was right and I stand gleefully corrected.”

Though Grant has joked about doing a spinoff series starring Classic Loki and Croki, there are no official plans for his variant’s return at this time. During the finale of Loki Season 1, the announcement was made that the show would return for a second season, and in Feb. 2022, Mobius actor Owen Wilson said that the next season would begin filming “pretty soon.” Season 1 ended with Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) killing He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors) to create the Multiverse, which was an important element of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The next film set to explore the Multiverse is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While Loki introduced various variants of the God of Mischief, the Doctor Strange sequel is rumored to reintroduce Marvel heroes from previous live-action movies, including Sir Patrick Stewart’s Professor X from the X-Men film saga.

Fans can now pre-order Classic Loki for $285, with the figure expected to release between April and Sept. 2023. The entire first season of Loki is now streaming on Disney+.
