No one does drama better than Cheryl Blossom on Riverdale. And she does most of it in red. One of the best things about her red wardrobe is how effortlessly it switches between moody, sporty and classic, which implies that she obviously curates each look with a lot of thought and there are a lot of things besides the outfit’s color that she must think about.
“We’re really playing with different colors but incorporating the red in smaller accessories and details, like my nails or my spider brooch, versus overall being red-on-red-on-red. 10 The Red Off-The-Shoulder Mermaid Gown
By Cheryl’s standards, this gown was a bit too predictable, but it was impeccably stylish and prim nevertheless. The gown by American gown and evening wear retailer, Jovani, features a rather structured, off-shoulder bodice and stylized ruffles, starting from the knee down.
Since this was a prom gown, it was designed to be quite effortless and classic, so it’s really versatile as well and breaks the tedium of the usual prom styling. The three flared tiers cascade into a dramatic skirt that offers a small train.
9 Red Homecoming Gown
Cheryl Blossom’s audacious red homecoming number is just the right amount of racy and elegant. The solid red, silk, floor-length gown has a really breezy finish, but the most noticeable thing about the dress is definitely its plunging neckline and choker/V-detailing. The dress is meant to flatter Cheryl’s frame and to make her look taller than she is, as it adds the illusion of a long torso.
It also has a thigh-high slit, which is great because it makes the gown more versatile. Cheryl, of course, styles it with some red stilettos, but someone like Betty would have probably opted for something quirkier as an accessory.
8 The Red Shorts
Cheryl puts in a lot of effort into her wardrobe, to stand out in terms of styling. A lot of her fashion choices draw attention because they are so unpredictable and paired in an unconventional fashion, which means she is totally a forward thinker when it comes to fashion.
For instance, she paired a pair of high-waist pull-up shorts with a slinky bralette for a rather edgy “flag girl” look. It’s quirky because one doesn’t really expect these two things to go together, but Cheryl totally makes this look work.
7 Red Polo Shirt
When Cheryl does steer away from flirty skater dresses and crop tops, she likes to keep things unpredictable. This chic red polo shirt is the epitome of country club fashion and it puts a high fashion spin on athleisure wear. The pastel detailing is also really interesting and this piece could totally work as a post-workout number, but Cheryl classes up her look with a bright red pout and her signature blowout.
Interestingly, Cheryl sports another blue version of the same polo tee later on in the show, but since it’s dressier, she fashions it with a scarf and pleated skirt.
6 Red Leather Jacket
This is a total power look and really explains how singular Cheryl’s sense of style is. When she joins the Southside Serpents, she is given a red leather jacket, and since then, she is often spotted in the same jacket, which she pairs with several outfits.
Interestingly, the jacket is different in design than the jackets worn by the other Serpents. First of all, it’s red, and it’s also more structured and well-finished. Cheryl’s number is also a motorcycle jacket, but the one worn by Jughead and others are more rugged field jackets or a generic variety of biker jackets.

4 Sequin Dress
If fans thought Cheryl was too cool for sequins, they were obviously wrong because she effortlessly pushed this Jessica Rabbit look with a glamorous sequined red dress in season 4. Though it’s a bodycon number, it’s silhouetted like a disco dress, with a very interesting neckline.
By season 4, Cheryl’s look had graduated somewhat and she took more and more fashion risks. This dress, though, a classic choice, was a total winner and it makes sense that Cheryl would have at least one sequined dress in her wardrobe.
3 The Red & Plaid Separates
Pairing solids with plaid is hardly a novel idea, but no one does it like Cheryl. Cheryl has obviously paired this skirt with solid-colored fitted tees more than once, but this red and plaid number just works out because of the Neiman Marcus turtleneck.
It does help that the skirt is Tommy Hilfiger and has a tennis skirt quality about it, so even paired with the most dramatic tops, it ends up looking sporty chic.
2 The Graduation Coat
No sophomore can really break the graduation day color memo unless, of course, they are Cheryl Blossom. Cheryl really went for an empowered, sweeping, all-red look for her graduation day, and her cape was significantly more stylish than the ones worn by her peers.
The taffeta-like accents helped make the coat more interesting, and to top it off, Cheryl added a stunning pink power bow to add in some color blocking and the giant red spider brooch.
1 Red Hooded Cape Coat
Easily one of the most iconic Cheryl power pieces, this stunning red poncho-style hooded cape is actually a high-low coat. This is most likely a custom-made number, so it actually plays with the length of its hemline, which has been curated to complement Cheryl’s frame and to make her look taller and lithe.
The best aspects of the cape are definitely the tie-up around the neck and the hood, which are meant to add a Red Riding Hood-style drama to her look.
