While DC has had a consistent appearance in cinemas, they embrace so many other mediums from straight-to-video animated films to television to video games. As a result, a lot of actors have provided the voices of iconic characters: heroes and villains alike. There are enough Batman voice actors to fill a museum.

Wonder Woman is no different with plenty of talented actresses putting their unique stamp on Princess Diana of Themyscira. With the rising popularity of Wonder Woman thanks to the likes of Gal Gadot’s now-iconic version in the DCEU, it’s time other actresses both famous and obscure get their due.

10 Rosario Dawson

The definitive Wonder Woman of the DC Animated Movie Universe, Rosario Dawson is actually the second voice who took over from Michelle Monaghan after Justice League War. Rosario Dawson would make many appearances, proving to be a stand-out in each subsequent film.

Rosario Dawson would even get to star in her own solo film Wonder Woman: Bloodlines. Many assumed she would be done with Wonder Woman after the DCAMU ended with Justice League Dark: Apokolips War but she recently returned to the role with a brief cameo in Space Jam: A New Legacy.

9 Grey DeLisle-Griffin

Grey DeLisle-Griffin has portrayed a plethora of characters over the years: Daphne from Scooby-Doo, Catwoman in the Arkhamverse and Injustice, Captain Marvel in the Marvel animated shows, and hundreds of other voices.

Of course, Grey DeLisle-Griffin has also voiced Wonder Woman in different projects including DC Super Hero Girls, Teen Titans Go!, many LEGO DC animated films, and more. Her version of Diana is much more light-hearted and like a big sister trying to take care of kids which is often the case.

8 Cobie Smulders

Though she is more well-known for her role of Maria Hill in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she has dabbled into the DC world in both The LEGO Movie and its sequel. Far from the star of either film, Cobie Smulders does not have much screentime to really showcase what she can do.

That being said, her small time on screen does feature some good comedic timing and a strong voice that does fit the character. Fans would likely enjoy hearing Cobie Smulders return in other DC-related projects in the future.

7 Gina Torres

Known for starring in Firefly and Hannibal, Gina Torres has voiced several characters in Star Wars, Transformers, and even other DC characters including Superwoman. Her one and only time voicing Wonder Woman was with the MMORPG: DC Universe Online.

Gina’s deeper voice fit the Amazonian character rather well, sounding more like a person who has lived for centuries and a leader during the crisis at hand in DC Universe Online.

6 Stana Katic

The newest member of the Wonder Woman family is Stana Katic who some might know as the star of Castle in which she starred alongside famous Green Lantern voice-actor Nathan Fillion. Stana is not exactly a stranger to DC as she was the voice of Talia Al Ghul in Batman: Arkham City and Lois Lane in Superman: Unbound.

In the newly rebooted DC animated universe which began with Superman: Man Of Tomorrow, Stana Katic became that universe’s Wonder Woman in Justice Society: World War II. There is no doubt that she is taking some inspiration from Gal Gadot’s portrayal but she still made it her own for this new series of films as a strong leader, warrior, and mother figure.

5 Maggie Q

One of the more forgotten Wonder Woman portrayals was from the beloved Young Justice animated series. Alongside Bruce Greenwood’s Batman and Nolan North’s Superman was Maggie Q’s Wonder Woman.

Though more of a firm version, Maggie Q’s Wonder Woman is definitely a leader who cares for the League and the young group of proteges. It’s a more stoic portrayal but executed in just the right manner with Maggie Q seeming perfect for this unique universe.

4 Vanessa Marshall

Much like the very talented Tara Strong, Vanessa Marshall is known for her seemingly endless amount of voices she has done over the years including the voice of Black Canary in the Injustice universe and Young Justice series.

In animated films such as Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, Crisis On Two Earths, the Harley Quinn animated series, and some LEGO DC movies, she has played Wonder Woman. Sadly, Vanessa does not get enough credit for the role since she has played Wonder Woman in so many different ways from heroic to villainous.

3 Keri Russell

One of the most beloved DC animated films was Wonder Woman from 2009. Many fans agreed that the film helped in launching the character back into the public eye. Even the 2017 live-action film starring Gal Gadot has very similar elements as the animated film.

Keri Russell played Diana and she knocked it out of the part. Fans have agreed that Keri Russell should have been brought back more often since she was able to portray the strength of the character while still showcasing the more emotional side of Diana. Instead, Keri Russell remains an iconic one-shot that left quite the stamp on the character.

2 Lucy Lawless

It seems like the most perfect casting to have Xena: Warrior Princess herself playing Wonder Woman. Even in the 90s, Lucy Lawless likely could have portrayed the character on film or television. However, fans finally got to see her play Wonder Woman in Justice League: The New Frontier.

In a cast already filled with unique voice actors, Lucy Lawless portrayed a rather different version of Wonder Woman. Diana is more cold-hearted and has lost her way due to the outlawing of heroes and the many wars that have made her disdainful of the world. In the end, she still rises to be the hero fans know and love but it was interesting to see a more somber portrayal of Diana who is not always perfect.

1 Susan Eisenberg

Easily the most recognizable voice of Wonder Woman even if someone doesn’t know her name is Susan Eisenberg. Most likely know her as the voice of Wonder Woman in Bruce Timm and Paul Dini’s DC Animated Universe for Justice League and Justice League Unlimited; she helped turn WonderBat into a popular couple goal.

However, Susan Eisenberg has also showcased how evil she can play Wonder Woman in the Injustice games. Along with a few other animated projects, she has become synonymous with Wonder Woman similar to Kevin Conroy as Batman or Mark Hamill as the Joker.
