Samsungs Galaxy Buds Pro & Buds 2 Just Hit Their Lowest Prices

Samsung is giving its Galaxy Buds lineup a good price-slashing for a limited time ahead of Black Friday. This includes the latest Galaxy Buds 2, while other variants are getting an even bigger temporary price drop. The Galaxy Buds have been giving Apple’s AirPods a run for its money lately, especially with its newest iteration offering more features for the same price.

It’s only been a little over two years since Samsung introduced the very first entry of its Galaxy Buds series, now it has grown to about five models. After replacing its Gear IconX wireless earbuds, the tech giant has constantly been refining each succeeding Galaxy Buds entry, whether it’s in the design department, technology, or even in pricing. Given that each Galaxy Bud variant comes with varying degrees of upgrades, their prices can easily range from affordable to expensive.

Fortunately, it seems like Samsung is now leaning towards the former, at least, for the time being, as the Galaxy Buds 2, Buds Pro, and Buds Live will all be getting slashed prices, as part of its Black Friday Offer. The Galaxy Buds 2 debuted at around $150, now it’s on sale for $30 less. On the other hand, the Galaxy Buds Pro was easily the most expensive of the bunch at about $200, but the recent price change dropped it down to $150. However, it’s the bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Live that received the biggest price cut, from being around $170, all the way down to $100, that’s a discount that’s almost as much as its current price.

Which Samsung Galaxy Buds Is The Better Deal?

At about $120, the Galaxy Buds 2 is quite a steal considering it’s jam-packed with upgraded features, while the usually pricier Buds Pro is now closer to the latest model’s original price. Of course, both earbuds have their own pros and cons, with the newer Buds 2 having longer battery life than the Buds Pro, while still having most of its features. Likewise, the Buds Pro also comes with its own advantages, such as having better IPX7 water resistance, stronger active noise-canceling, and adaptive modes that adjust external noise levels or media playback automatically. Consumers will have to decide whether the Buds Pro’s more premium features are worth the $30 difference, especially when the Buds 2’s basically equipped with similar hardware for less.

Meanwhile, the differences between the latest Galaxy Buds and the Buds Live are like night and day. Unlike the Buds 2, the Buds Live utilizes an open-ear design that potentially blocks out less background noise and, depending on the user’s ear shape, could feel less secure when in motion than the Buds 2’s more traditional in-ear design. However, some might find the Buds Live’s bean-like shape more comfortable, since it rests on the ear rather than blocking it, causing less earphone fatigue in the process. Given its ANC capability, slightly longer battery life, and massive discount, the Buds Live could be the best deal among the three for shoppers on a budget, but for everyone else, the Buds 2 is certainly best at balancing out everything in terms of features, comfort, and pricing.
