It may have gotten off to a slightly bumpy start, but Seinfeld proved itself to be one of the greatest television programs of all time. Thanks to a winning combination of sharp writing and memorable characters, the comedy series was one of the standout shows of the 1990s and still entertains audiences to this day thanks to its omnipresence in syndication. Though a new episode hasn’t aired since 1998, Seinfeld is still finding new generations of fans to laugh about “nothing.”

Now there’s another way for newcomers to discover the Soup Nazi, Festivus, and what exactly The Contest is about. All 9 seasons of Seinfeld (180 episodes) are available on the streaming service Hulu Plus (which costs $8 per month), starting today.

The news comes courtesy of none other than Jerry Seinfeld himself, who took to Twitter to express his enthusiasm for his iconic show’s next step in pop culture:

Oh my god. @hulu “Seinfeld” starts today! All 180. Original NBC 90’s cuts. So excited to be on the best TV web platform in the world.

— Jerry Seinfeld (@JerrySeinfeld) June 24, 2015

This is the culmination of Hulu’s exclusive deal that was struck with Sony Pictures TV a couple of months back, in which the company paid an estimated $180 million to secure the rights. It’s a landmark agreement, as it marks the first time the entirety of Seinfeld will be available on a streaming service. Various episodes will pop up from time to time on Crackle, but nobody has had the full run available for consumers before.

It’s a sign as to how far online streaming has evolved over the course of the 21st century. Most of our readers know how large a presence Netflix has in the industry, with acclaimed original programming like Daredevil and House of Cards making waves in the zeitgeist. As one of Netflix’s largest competitors, Hulu had to do something to step up their game, and getting the rights to an enduring show like Seinfeld is a step in the right direction. Yes, it may not be as ‘buzz worthy’ as something new, but the option to have all of the classic show’s episodes on-demand is an enticing perk to gain new customers who are looking to find the right streaming service for them.

In his tweet, Seinfeld specifically points out that the original ’90s cuts will be the versions available on Hulu. As any Seinfeld junkie will tell you, certain episodes (like “The Handicap Spot” in season 4) were edited for runs in syndication to better fit the continuity of the show. However, these revisions won’t be part of the Hulu deal. This means the first time we hear Newman, it’ll be co-creator Larry David’s voice (and not Wayne Knight), and George Costanza’s father will initially be John Randolph before giving way to Jerry Stiller (among other details). That, however, is a small price to pay for having the full library of content – including the controversial “Puerto Rican Day” episode – available at your fingertips.

So if you’re a Seinfeld die-hard who never picked up the DVDs and is eager to relive classic moments like George’s Trivial Pursuit game and Elaine’s dance again, now’s the time to sign up for Hulu and binge watch to your heart’s content. And if you’re new to all this and wondering what all the fuss is about, today’s a better day than ever to check out our list of the best Seinfeld episodes to see which ones you should cue up as a starting point.
