Selling Sunset Christine Quinn Calls Out Editors For Showing ‘Favoritism’

After watching Selling Sunset back, Christine Quinn believes the show’s editor show favoritism towards certain cast members. Since season 1 of the Netflix reality series, Christine hasn’t received the best edit. In fact, Christine always seems to come out of every season looking like the villain. While some may blame it on editing, others say Christine’s actions seem to prove she’s the coveted villain of the show.

Some of her costars would also agree that Christine is at fault for looking like the villain. Chrishell Stause has been feuding with Christine since the very first season. Christine wasn’t so sweet to Chrishell when she started at The Oppenheim Group despite Chrishell being nothing but nice to her. Even Christine’s long-time friends Mary Fitzgerald and Heather Rae Young have started to turn on her after the way Christine has treated them both on and off-screen. However, now Christine, who was almost sued by Chrishell, is pointing at the editors for the way she and her castmates come off on screen.

Christine sat down with E! News Daily Pop, where she spoke about how the editors of Selling Sunset clearly show favoritism to certain members of the cast. The 33-year-old is well aware she is being perceived as the villain and never really cared until season 4. “I actually really loved it at first, and I was embracing it because I love to put on a show and be a character. It’s so fun for me, you know?” Christine said to hosts Morgan Stewart and Nina Parker. “I was hoping that there would be multiple sides that would be shown […] throughout the seasons, it just seemed to be this one-note consistency of my character portrayal.” It was a lot for Christine this season, seeing as she hit a few life obstacles this year. When Christine gave birth to her son, she opened up about her traumatic birth experience.

While she doesn’t mind being painted out as the villain, Christine wishes fans would realize it’s just a TV show. As for her feelings towards the editing team, Christine is less than happy with them this season. When asked if she feels her costar’s other sides aren’t shown on the series, she responded, “Absolutely.” Christine revealed that there are many times when they show her having a conversation with someone, and they won’t show the person responding. Instead, they showed an interview clip. “I’m just like, why can’t I ever get a word in sometimes?” she added. Christine, who works at The Oppenheim Group, believes “there’s definitely favoritism in the editing room,” but she does her best to show her true self. Christine also mentioned a clip from the season of her doing yoga that was shown shortly after she gave birth to her son. Fans were shocked she was able to do yoga so soon after giving birth, but Christine confirmed that the clip was filmed while she was pregnant. The camera was able to get an angle of Christine that didn’t show her growing belly.

Christine knows she likes to play into her villain persona on Selling Sunset, but she feels the show took it too far this year. After her traumatic birth and settling into her new life as a mother, it was difficult for Christine to watch the new season unfold.
