Christine Quinn, a notorious agent on Netflix’s Selling Sunset, gladly admitted to being a “villain” on the reality series. Facing backlash in the past for her behavior, yet becoming surprisingly emotional during Selling Sunset season 4, Christine is a complex character on the series, selfish one moment and oddly endearing to others the next. Known for her outlandish sense of style and Christine is a polarizing figure on the series and usually at the center of most of the drama on the show.
With recent rumors of Chrishell Stause considering suing Christine and plenty of intensity surrounding Christine and Emma Hernan’s shared ex, Christine has certainly become involved in a number of messy storylines on Selling Sunset. Christine has shown a great deal of character development over the course of the series, humbling herself and admitting her faults, yet the reality star still has plenty to work on in upcoming seasons. But she doesn’t mind that right now, she;s not everyone’s favorite.
Walking the red carpet at the People’s Choice Awards (via E! News), Christine humorously owned the title of “villain” that many have tried to pin on the reality star since the beginning of the series. When asked about her involvement in a majority of the Selling Sunset “drama,” by Laverne Cox, Christine responded by quoting the famous TikTok video, saying, “Do I think I’m the drama? No, I don’t think I’m the drama. Maybe I’m the drama.” Christine added, “Yeah, I live for it. I love being the villain. I wouldn’t have it any other way.” Without remorse, Christine claims her infamous reputation and appears to be perfectly fine owning her decisions on Selling Sunset. Taking pride in her role on the series, Christine’s theatrics appear to be far from over as the series continues towards season 5.
While she makes light of the drama, her Sunset co-stars appear genuinely upset. Even though Christine may think that blowing over the harshest moments of the series will de-escalate the issue, fans and co-stars are certain to see her flippant responses negatively. With mixed reactions about the events of the series from cast member to cast member, audiences will have to wait until Selling Sunset season 5 to see how the stars truly feel about everything that went down in season 4.
Recently, Chrishell Stause teased that the upcoming season will be all about redemption arcs for some of the characters, but she didn’t say if that included Christine or not. She commented on Instagram, via E! News, “Redemption arc coming season five! Happy for people to see where we are now.” There are sure to be more surprises ahead in Selling Sunset season 5, and the most surprising one might just be whether or not Chistine de-crowns herself as the resident villain of the Oppenheim Group.
