Selling Sunset Why Fans May Not See Maya & Davina In Season 4

Season 3 of Selling Sunset is receiving a lot of recognition, and now viewers wonder if there will be the next season. Many reports suggest that there could be season 4, but viewers might not see Maya Vander and Davina Potratz in it. Let us tell you why.

In the newest season, Maya voices her opinion about the favoritism in the office. Many viewers have noticed that Jason Oppenheim, the owner of the brokerage, favors his ex-girlfriend Mary Fitzgerald and helps her with potential clients. The mom of two doesn’t approve of this partiality and speaks against it quite a few times. She has indirectly talked about this preferential treatment but to no avail. She understands that Jason and Mary share a strong bond, and the latter works hard at her job. But their closeness does impact other people who are working as hard as Mary. The 32-year-old said, “I respect the relationship and everything, but if I’m in LA and spending time selling, I would hope that he would help me and give me a potential client or something like that. It feels like it does go a little bit more towards Mary. She works hard, too, no doubt.” Jason explained his side but is not quite ready to change his approach. He admits he has a fondness for Mary and said, “People’s opinions are not going to dictate what makes me happy.”

It seems like Maya has made up her mind to leave the brokerage in Los Angeles because she asks Jason if he wants to have an agency and realtor in Miami. While talking to ET in an interview, she shared, “My goal is to stay in Miami unless I have a client that’s worth me to fly for a day or two to do showings and stuff like that. I’m trying to just stay put in Miami, that’s the goal.” Similarly, Davina had arguments with Jason in season 2 and now in season 3 about her 75 million dollar listing. The boss has decided to cancel that listing, which would make the realtor think if she wants to be working in the Oppenheim Group anymore.

She already has a broker license, and she can start her own firm and have that listing. While talking about office dynamics, Christine Quinn hinted that some people might leave. She said, “You know Davina is a broker, Brett has left the brokerage and started his own firm. I mean, there’s a lot of chess pieces waiting to be moved across the board, so I think it’s going to be the most interesting season we ever will have, if it happens.” Even if the 30-year-old doesn’t establish her own firm, she can join Brett’s brokerage.

So, it seems like Maya and Davina are questioning their future at the O Group for a little while. If they eventually decide to move on, they will not appear in the next season. Selling Sunset fans might not be ready for this big change, but first, let’s see if there IS going to be a season 4. Earlier, Christine revealed that the production has paused due to the coronavirus pandemic, and she’s positive that Netflix will pick it up again.
