Sex Education Characters Ranked From Least To Most Likely To Win Squid Game

Although the characters of Sex Education have been through numerous difficult situations, none have been as extreme as Squid Game. Who would win?

While most of the characters on Sex Education have experienced their fair share of hardships, their problems at Moordale High do tend not to be those of life and death. While some of them are wise beyond their years and would be strong competitors in Squid Game, others would not have the maturity or resilience to get very far.

The characters from Sex Education are shown to be complex individuals with different skills, meaning they would play with very different strategies, much like the actual characters in Squid Game. In the end, there is only one Moordale High student with the best chance of winning it all and surviving the deadly game.

10 Aimee Gibbs

Aimee is a likable and kind person, who provides fans with a lot of laughs. Aimee goes through some difficult situations on Sex Education, but she always deals with whatever she is going through with pluckiness and optimism unrivaled by the other characters.

Although Aimee has many wonderful qualities, she is often a little confused or slow to understand what is going on. Aimee would probably not understand the games, or not believe that her life is really in danger. This means she would be eliminated in the first round: Red Light, Green Light.

9 Jackson Marchetti

Jackson has undergone a lot of character development so far in Sex Education – starting the first series as the Head Boy who does everything to please everyone else and growing into, more recently, a rebellious teen who stands up for what he believes in.

Squid Game would see Jackson doing exactly this – standing up to the guards, disgusted by the inhumane nature and brutality of the games. While Jackson would be trying to be noble and just, he would of course just be eliminated in the first round.

8 Lily Inglehart

Lily has an imagination far beyond that of her peers; she is forever coming up with new alien erotica stories. Fans also saw a more tender and sensitive side to Lily in the third season, when her relationship with Ola was on the rocks and Lily’s individuality and creativity were being stifled at school.

While Lily is a fan-favorite character, her tendency to have her head up in the clouds would limit her in Squid Game. Lily would most likely get eliminated in the Sugar Honeycombs round by picking the umbrella because it is the shape that looks most like a spaceship.

7 Ola Nyman

Ola is strong-willed, feisty, and determined. However, she is not a particularly easy-going person (despite what she’d like to portray) and can rub people up the wrong way. She cares deeply about those she loves but certainly takes a while to get to know people before letting them in and trusting them.

As Ola feels things deeply and acts based on her emotions, she would likely alienate the other contestants with snide or rude comments while grieving for Lily. Of course, this would make her unpopular. She would most likely be eliminated in the fight in the dorm.

6 Vivienne Odusanya

As one of Sex Education’s best newer characters, Vivienne is a highly intelligent and ambitious individual. However, she does accidentally talk down to people a lot, which can make her unpopular among her peers. Although Jackson understands and loves her, many of her classmates interpret her behavior as rude or undermining.

Although Vivienne has the potential to go far in Squid Game, she can be a loner and her behavior would likely alienate the other contestants. For this reason, Vivienne would likely end up on a weak team in the Tug Of War giving her little chance of making it past this round.

5 Otis Milburn

As the main character of Sex Education, fans have seen Otis go through a lot in the series. He is a kind person who always means well. However, as a teen who is learning about who he is and struggling to meet his ideals, he often gets things wrong and winds up hurting other people. There is one thing Otis is sure of: he cares deeply about Maeve.

Having paired up with Maeve in the round of Marbles, Otis would undoubtedly purposefully lose the game to keep Maeve safe (like Kang Sae-byok) because Otis loves Maeve so much.

4 Ruby Matthews

Having previously been portrayed as the popular girl in school who is unnecessarily mean to her classmates, in season 3 of Sex Education Ruby is shown to be so much more than that. She loves those in her inner circle deeply and is an incredibly responsible young person who feels a lot of pressure to be seen a certain way.

However, despite a lot of character development, Ruby still has egocentric tendencies. This would probably have her picking number 1 in the Glass Hopscotch round, giving her no chance of making it through.

3 Eric Effiong

Eric is a fierce friend who has a strong sense of loyalty. He knows exactly who he is and isn’t afraid to show others, even if they don’t understand him. He also has a strong tendency for self-preservation, which would have him doing pretty well in Squid Game and nearly reaching the end.

However, Eric can be impulsive and sometimes acts without thinking things through. Unfortunately, this would come back to bite him in the Glass Hopscotch. Eric would impulsively pick from the two glass tiles, get unlucky, and be eliminated in this round.

2 Maeve Wiley

As one of Sex Education’s best characters, Maeve is intelligent, resilient, and determined. Although things may be tough for Maeve and there may be obstacles in her way, she never gives up and isn’t afraid of working hard. Unlike many of her peers, Maeve is used to taking care of herself, and doing things, and making decisions far beyond the maturity of her peers.

Although Maeve would be a fierce competitor, she can overthink and she’s not particularly athletic. She would get to the final round of Squid Game but would be beaten by her last competitor.

1 Adam Groff

Adam is the character who has changed most since series 1; having started as a vicious bully who acts out, he is now a kind individual who is learning how to better himself. Although life has thrown him some curveballs, he continually keeps trying and shows an incredible amount of resilience.

While Adam is not particularly intelligent, he would just keep going step by step and try his best to make it through each round, much like Seong Gi-Hun. Despite being an underdog, Adam would push his way right to the end and win Squid Game.
