Netflix’s She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 3 trailer is released by DreamWorks Animation TV. A reboot of the classic 80s animated show She-Ra: Princess of Power, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 1 premiered in November 2018 on Netflix. The show follows Adora (Aimee Carrero), who grew up as a soldier in the Horde alongside her best friend Catra (AJ Michalka). But when Adora discovers a magical sword and learns that the Horde is actually evil, she joins with the princesses of Etheria to try to save the planet.

Earlier this year, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 2 premiered and continued the adventures of Adora, her two best friends Glimmer (Karen Fukuhara) and Bow (Marcus Scribner) as well as those in the Princess Alliance: Mermista (Vella Lovell), Perfuma (Genesis Rodriguez) and Frosta (Merit Leighton). Meanwhile, Catra continued to become a major leader within the Horde, thanks to her two closest allies, Scorpia (Lauren Ash) and Entrapta (Christine Woods). But after losing the once-imprisoned Shadow Weaver (Lorraine Toussaint) and angering Horde leader Hordak (Keston John), Catra lost much of her power by the end of season 2. As for Adora, she decoded a First Ones message and discovered she needed to head to the Red Waste for answers.

Now, during the series’ panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, the She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 3 trailer was unveiled. Watch the season 3 trailer below.

Previously, the She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 3 poster was revealed when DreamWorks TV announced the show would receive a panel at SDCC and confirmed the show’s August return date at the same time. With She-Ra returning it August, it shortens the breaks between seasons down from five months to four months, which is no doubt a welcome change for fans. However, the episode count for season 2 was also down, from 13 episodes to seven, and it’s likely She-Ra season 3 will be abbreviated as well though the exact episode count isn’t known yet.

Still, as evidenced by the She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 3 trailer, fans can look forward to more adventures for their favorite characters. With massive stakes like the fate of Etheria hanging in the balance, as well as more personal stakes like Adora and Catra’s friendship – which has been the emotional core of the series since the very first episode – fans are no doubt eager to see how the story of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power continues. Thankfully, they only need to wait a few more weeks until new episodes are available.
