Above all, there was one certain character that had fans doubling over in laughter. Lord Farquaad, voiced by John Lithgow, is the ruler of Duloc who exiles many fairytale creatures to the swamps.

Lord Farquaad wasn’t much of a tyrannical ruler or scary villain for that matter. The character became well known on the internet and the fan base for many memes. Some make fun of his comical name, his antics, and others for his unique haircut.

A ruthless tactic that Farquaad uses is breaking off Gingy’s legs. A fan made the comical tie to a popular scene from Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

Snape did have the same type of hair, minus the bangs.
