Southern Charm Cameran Eubanks Calls Show Icky Confirms She Wont Return

Cameran Eubanks does not plan on ever making a return to Southern Charm. The former reality star opened up about her departure from the show and how being on it started to make her feel “icky.”

Cameran joined the Bravo reality series for its very first season in 2014. During her time on Southern Charm, she became pregnant and later welcomed her first child. She had a daughter named Palmer that she shares with her husband Jason Wimberly. Around that time, she started to realize that appearing on Southern Charm was no longer right for her. After she finished filming season six, she decided it was time to move on. She announced her exit from the show in May 2020.

In the 37-year-old’s new memoir, “One Day You’ll Thank Me: Essays on Dating, Motherhood, and Everything In Between,” she gets candid about her sudden departure from Southern Charm and talks about her motherhood journey, according to People. “At that point, I had a child and since becoming a mother, my priorities had changed,” she wrote in the book. “I also felt like I was at a different place in my life. It was time to move on.” She could no longer take the heat of being on a reality show and decided to make a change. Southern Charm wasn’t Cameran’s first time starring in a reality series, as she was a cast member on MTV’s Real World: San Diego in 2004. This got her ready for her leading role in Southern Charm. On the show, she also provided the show’s voice-over narration throughout the episodes.

Before Southern Charm Season 7 began filming, a rumor began to circulate about Cameran’s husband, Jason Wimberly. The rumor was that Jason was allegedly having an affair with Charleston makeup artist, Rebecca Walsh. Cameran and Rebecca denied the rumors. This made Cameran realize that her decision to leave the show was definitely the right choice. “The drama on reality TV lately has taken a dark turn and become something I don’t want to associate myself with anymore,” she added to her book. She also wrote, “False accusations can be made and nasty rumors can be started for the sake of a ‘good show.’ It just started to feel a bit icky.” As to whether she’ll ever return to reality TV in the future, Cameran isn’t interested. She is looking forward to living a quieter, simpler life without a camera in her face.

Cameran remains friendly with some of her former castmates from Southern Charm, including, Whitney Sudler-Smith, Craig Conover, and Shep Rose. She admitted that Shep Rose, who cheated on Taylor Green, still calls her for girl advice, adding that she’s surprised he even listens to her. She says he “doesn’t listen to many people.” Cameran wrote that she still considers Craig Conover a close friend, even though they argue quite a bit. However, that friendship may have fizzled to an extent, as Craig revealed at the reunion that he has not spoken to her in three months. “It was an ‘I love you and I hate that we can’t talk anymore’ type of vibe,” the Southern Charm star revealed, adding, “We used to talk every day.”
