In the season 2 finale, the stakes were high for all members of the Roy family. To get away from it all and decide on what to do next, the family went away on their yacht. Shiv’s fashion sense, despite being naturally relaxed was still noteworthy. From her blue swimming attire to the oversized hat she wore to accompany most of her holiday outfits, Shiv showed audiences that she could be cool and still casual. Shiv also gave audiences a never seen before outfit option when she wore a floral dress on her private lunch date with Tom. Shiv not only looked elegant but her fashion choice reflected her softness and vulnerability at that moment.

9 When She Clarified Things With Her Dad In Season 2

After being promised the CEO position by her father, Shiv is left hanging for the rest of season 2 as she grapples with whether or not she is still her father’s first choice. In the S2 EP 7 Return, the two have a sit-down conversation about Shiv’s future.

Despite the conversation being awkward and difficult, Shiv’s white and long sleeve blouse brightened her presence and importance in the matter. It is also one of the very few times audiences got to see Shiv in a bright color as she usually darker and more serious outfits.

In S2 EP6 “Argestes”, Shiv, alongside her brothers Kendall and Roman are center stages at a business conference, discussing the controversies plaguing the company. Shiv’s turtleneck top with her plaid suited pants showed that she was powerful in this episode and asserted to her family and everyone else that she was the boss. Even though Shiv’s supposed succession announcement was still awkwardly floating around the family, Shiv’s outfit and posture in this episode consolidated her presence being the possible new leading face of Waystar Royco.

7 Every time She Faced Rhea In Season 2

Throughout season 2, tension had been building between Siobhan Roy and Rhea Jarell; both hungry for power. This was the result of both women wanting to be the closest to Logan. As seen in episode 7 & 8, Shiv’s outfits were more than just on point when handling Rhea, they were also daring and bold.

Specifically, as she talked to her siblings about Rhea in EP 8 “Dundee ”, Shiv wore a backless sweater and a more riské attire to plan her attack against Rhea. Shiv’s outfits always made her presence more prominent in those meetings, unlike Rhea who more often would wear the same things.

For Logan’s Birthday in S2, everyone was present to show up and show out. Kendall had his infamous rap moment and Shiv had her beautiful black streamlined gown. Even though the gown was simple, it did everything Shiv needed to do as it accentuated her figure and gave her room to maneuver around the issues happening at her dad’s birthday. Shiv’s outfit not being over the top allowed her to focus on what was important at Logan’s Birthday, preparing the company for effective damage control later on in the series.

Amongst the many gala and charity dinners attended by Shiv, her outfit in the S1 EP4 episode “Sad Sack Wasp Trap” is one worth mentioning. Shiv’s satin blue gown enveloped her beauty and charm allowing the audience to see a more fashion-forward Shiv. Before this episode, Shiv was always seen wearing casual and loose-fitting clothes ie. like when she was in the hospital with her family. This gala outfit showed the audience early on that Shiv was someone full of surprises, never be underestimated.

4 Her PreNuptial Event In Season 1

In S1 EP 9 “Pre- Nuptial”, Shiv wore a cream-colored fitted dress, an outfit that caught everyone’s eyes. The dress itself complimented Shiv but as usual, reflected her ‘mission-minded’ attitude that evening.

Viewers would know that Shiv’s pre-wedding party was no easy feat for her as she was juggling the presence of both her future husband Tom and Nate; the man she was having an affair with. The outfit was perfect for all the back and forth Shiv had to do that evening and also reminded everyone of how stunning she is.

3 Her Wedding Dress In Season 1

Just like any bride on their wedding day, Shiv’s wedding dress was her princess moment. Her wedding dress was beautifully simplistic which is a reflection of who she was in S1, a woman more focused on doing what she feels best and most comfortable with. Some have said that the show’s dress designers tried to mirror Meghan Markle’s wedding dress for her wedding. The dress, alongside her hairstyle, ties in one of Shiv’s more elegant moments.

Siobhan Roy has always been hell-bent on forging her path. When viewers first meet her S1, Shiv stands out from the crowd and is unforgivingly herself. This doesn’t change in S2 as she reintroduces herself as a ‘new shiv’ sporting short bold hair and starting on with her now-signature ‘Steve Jobs’ turtleneck and high rise pants look. This would serve as a reminder that Shiv meant business in S2, specifically after her father offers her the succession role.

Throughout S2, Shiv showed audiences how powerful and cunning she could be by dressing up in various stylish business suits. Ever since she was offered the role of the successor in S2 EP1, Shiv stepped up both her leadership and fashion. From slowly integrating herself into the company to being present at business meetings and events, Shiv’s presence was made more apparent through her stylish and often monochromatic outfits. Shiv’s combination of monochromatic suits was most poignant when Shiv was able to convince a WayStar cruise victim in S2 EP9 “DC” to back down from testifying against the company at the senate committee hearings. The suit not only signified Shiv’s never-ending and straight-line support for her family but affirmed her authority in the matter. From matching Stella McCartney pieces to intimidating outfits, Shiv’s power suits have had a story of their own to tell in S2.
