Superman Reveals The Worst Villain Hes Ever Met

Warning! Spoilers for Superman vs. Lobo #2 by DC Comics

In the pages of DC Comics, Superman has faced off against many villains over the years; however, he just admitted that Lobo is the worst person he’s ever met. In the latest issue of Superman vs. Lobo, the Man of Steel admits that the Czarian bounty hunter is not only worse in his eyes than Lex Luthor but that even Darkseid has more of a moral code than Lobo.

Superman has one of the most impressive rogue galleries in comics. Kal-El has come into conflict with some of the most powerful villains across the Cosmos, whether he’s battling Brainiac, Mongul, Darkseid, Doomsday, Bizzaro, or Lex Luthor. There’s no shortage of heavy hitters for Superman to go up against. However, a new comic pits the DC Comics hero against Lobo, who Superman admittedly detests. Not only does the Man of Tomorrow think Lobo is a terrible person, but he gives off a laundry list of reasons why he believes that’s the case.

In Superman vs. Lobo #2 by Tim Seely, Sarah Beattie, Mirka Andolfo, Arif Prianto, and Fabio Amelia, Superman and Lobo find themselves on the Czarina and Krypton, respectively. An all-powerful alien has brought their previously destroyed planets back to life but put them on the wrong restored worlds. Superman is doing his best to adjust on Czarian, but when visited by Dr. Flik, their conversation quickly focuses on Lobo. Superman tells the doctor that Lobo is “the worst person I’ve ever met, and I regularly have to spend time with Lex Luthor.” On top of that, he suggests Darkseid has more of a moral code than Lobo.

When Superman quizzes Dr. Flik about whether she’s attracted to Lobo (she totally is), Kal-El tries to tell her the truth about the sometimes hero, sometimes villain. He mentions Lobo’s casual sexism, murder, and genocide of his own planet. Superman says that there’s always something attractive about “bad boys” but that Lobo is the “worst boy.” Ultimately, Flik dodges his questions.

In the end, Superman is frustrated with the current situation he is in, as Lobo enjoys life on Krypton while he’s stuck on the planet the Czarian once destroyed. Superman vs. Lobo #2 offers a humorous look at an ongoing battle between Superman and Lobo, so it’s no surprise Kal-El finds his adversary irredeemable. Darkseid might be more of a threat than Lobo, but Superman believes that deep down in his core, Lobo is the “worst person” he’s ever met. Superman vs. Lobo #2 is in comic book stores now.
