SYFY Launches We Are Her(oes) Campaign for Women’s History Month
Cable network Syfy has launched the We Are Her(oes) Campaign to highlight female creators for Women’s History Month.

Genre channel Syfy announced the We Are Her(oes) campaign to highlight and showcase female voices within nerd culture for Women’s History Month.
“In celebration of Women’s History Month, Syfy is honoring women who have influenced fandom with a multi-faceted We Are Her(oes) campaign throughout the month of March,” the press release read. “Presented by the network’s female-focused brand Syfy Fangrrls, this initiative will spotlight content created for and by women across Syfy’ linear, digital and social platforms.”
Throughout the month, the channel will gear original programming, movie marathons and podcasts towards highlighting influential women of science fiction. This includes a series of Wynonna Earp fan-favorites marathons (Friday, March 6 from 6:30-9:30 a.m. EST; Friday, March 20 from 6:30-10:30 a.m. EST; Friday, March 27 from 6-9 a.m. EST) and the “MAN-SEL in Distress” Movie Marathon (Sunday, 3/8 from 9 a.m.-11:30 p.m. EST) featuring films with strong female characters, including Mad Max: Fury Road, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider; Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life; Zombieland; X-Men: First Class and Power Rangers.
The channel’s adaptation of Vault Comics’s Vagrant Queen (Friday, March 27 at 10 p.m. EST) and the 20 Women to Watch in 2020 (Friday, March 27 at 11 p.m. EST) documentary special will premiere as part of the campaign. The network will also change its logo and on-air bug across its linear and digital platforms.
