Taken Where Are The Cast Now

In today’s landscape, it’s become difficult for films that don’t carry the superhero movie tag with them to see sequels – with horror franchises being an exception – but the Liam Neeson-led Taken managed to shape out an entire trilogy that saw its conclusion in 2014.

Since then, the cast members of these films have been seen in a number of different projects, although few have achieved the level of mainstream exposure that the Taken series offered them. In case you’re wondering what these people are up to these days, and who might be doing the best both professionally and personally, then read on further to see where the cast is today.

10 Famke Janssen

Taken Where Are The Cast Now

Most fans still know her as the all-powerful Jean Grey from the X-Men movies, and Famke was brought further mainstream attention with the Taken series where she played the ex-wife of Brian Mills. Since the last film, Famke has tried her hand further in the land of television.

Known generally for starring in supporting roles in big films, Famke instead started focusing on playing lead roles on the small screen, where she was the lead actor in Hemlock Grove on Netflix and The Blacklist: Redemption on NBC. She’s also continued appearing in films, with her latest release being the thriller The Poison Rose.

9 Katie Cassidy

Taken Where Are The Cast Now

At the time of Taken’s release, Katie had already appeared as a series regular on The CW’s Supernatural, but that role ended after a solitary season. However, she’s grown far from her time as Kim Mills’ unlucky friend from Taken, the most famous later stint being her time on Arrow.

Katie initially landed main roles on shows like Melrose Place, Harper’s Island, and Gossip Girl, before finally finding her permanent spot on Arrow where she has been since 2012. She also married her husband in late-2018, meaning her personal life is pretty occupied now as well.

8 Xander Berkeley

Taken Where Are The Cast Now

He was replaced in Taken 3 as Kim Mills’ stepfather, but we still remember Xander as the original Stuart St John. His penchant for playing dastardly types has led to a long filmography where he’s appeared in a number of supporting roles, none more so notorious than his role on The Walking Dead.

He was most recently seen on this show until 2018, having had a notable role as the devious Gregory whom fans loved to hate. Xandar has never been out of work and was seen in big films such as Allegiant and City of Lies in the last few years.

7 Holly Valance

Taken Where Are The Cast Now

Yes, her role was only for about a minute in Taken, but Holly Valance was a pretty popular figure at the time of the film’s release, appearing in a cameo as a celebrity Kim Mills was a huge fan of.

In the last decade or so, however, Holly hasn’t been in the spotlight as much as she was in the 2000s. She was last seen as a judge on Shopaholic Showdown back in 2013 on TV, while her most recent film role was in 2015’s independent action film Red Herring. However, she’s doing well in her personal life, being married with two children to the billionaire Nick Candy.

6 Forest Whitaker

Taken Where Are The Cast Now

Forest Whitaker had been an Oscar winner for about ten years before he appeared in Taken 3, and his star has continued to shine bright in the last few years as he’s been part of a number of big-time releases.

Forest was seen in supporting roles in films that grossed over $1 billion worldwide in Black Panther and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story while playing leading roles in smaller movies like City of Lies. His work on the smaller screen has also been fruitful, with Forest being part of the cast of Empire in recent times.

5 Dougray Scott

Taken Where Are The Cast Now

Dougray was the actor who replaced Xandar Berkeley as Stuart in Taken 3, and one can understand why seeing as Scott’s filmography has seen him play tough, villainous types in films like Mission: Impossible 2 and Hitman.

He’s continued his flavor for gritty content since as well, having been seen alongside Famke Janssen in Hemlock Grove, and following that up with roles in Fear the Walking Dead and the latest Batwoman TV series, along with a few miniseries sandwiched in between these appearances.

4 Olivier Rabourdin

Taken Where Are The Cast Now

It’s hard to forget the face of Jean-Claude, who turned out to be in on the trafficking that led to Kim being apprehended in the first Taken, leading to the famous scene where Brian interrogated Jean-Claude by shooting the latter’s wife.

The actor hasn’t seen mainstream appearances of the magnitude of Taken ever since his appearance in the second film, mostly appearing in various features from his native France. His most recent release was in 2017’s Burn Out, but his vast filmography indicates it won’t be long before we see him again.

3 Jon Gries

Taken Where Are The Cast Now

Rather than Taken fans recalling Jon Gries as one would expect, it would be Supernatural viewers who will remember the actor well. Jon followed up his first two appearances in the Taken movies by appearing as the character of Martin on Supernatural, meaning he has two big franchises under his belt.

Jon has also finally moved into leading man status starting from 2016, as he landed the lead role in Dream Corp, LLC, where he plays Dr. Roberts whose unconventional methods end up in all kinds of hijinks. He was also one of the very few actors that appeared in all three of the Taken movies.

2 Maggie Grace

Taken Where Are The Cast Now

She wasn’t part of the Rick/Negan war storyline, but Maggie Grace has become part of The Walking Dead family as she’s entered the universe of the undead to follow up the early success she tasted with Lost.

Maggie overcame initial setbacks post her time as Kim Mills on Taken by securing one of the main roles in Fear the Walking Dead, a fact that is doubly impressive when one considers how quickly characters get killed off on that show. She’s continued acting in films as well, with the romantic comedy Love, Weddings & Other Disasters expected next year. She’s also all grown up too, as Maggie was married in 2017 to her husband Brent Bushnell.

1 Liam Neeson

We don’t really need to bring you up to speed on the happenings of Liam Neeson, who is still the A-list star he was during the Taken trilogy. Liam has expanded his filmography much wider by now, though, as he was seen in versatile films like Silence and Widows while continuing in the action genre with movies such as The Commuter and Cold Pursuit.

Liam’s time as Brian Mills is still fondly remembered, as the immortal lines of “I will find you, and I will kill you” have meant that the legacy of Taken lives on as long as Liam Neeson continues in this business.
