Although they mean no ill-will, everyone goes to Scott expecting him to have a plan when things go south. The characters often forget that he’s a sixteen-year-old boy as much as he is a werewolf. Scott has the same issues as everyone else, and being an alpha doesn’t mean he always has a solution.

Doing whatever he can to secure himself a spot on the team and fit in with the popular kids is straight out of a “teenage stereotypes” handbook. However, Scott decides against using his powers later in the show because he wants his successes to be based on his own merit.

“Revenge,” is a word that isn’t in Scott McCall’s vocabulary. He doesn’t need to hurt others to make himself feel good, and this even applies to people who are out to kill him. Scott shows mercy and compassion to everyone and is a strong believer in second chances.

If it comes down to taking a life to protect the innocent, Scott is willing to accept that burden upon himself. However, he will always look for a way to save his enemies, no matter how irredeemable they appear. In all six seasons of Teen Wolf, Scott never took a life and still came out on top.

They had a bit of a rocky start, but Stiles and Lydia’s relationship is explored throughout Teen Wolf. It almost feels as though the genre peaked during this transformation. Scott becoming a true alpha is irrefutable proof that he is just as extraordinary as he appears.

He earned his new status based on the strength of his character, virtue, and sheer power of will, rather than through violence. None of the other werewolves, including the adults, had ever experienced this due to true alphas appearing only once every one hundred years.
