The 10 Funniest RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Queens Ever

It takes a number of skills to be considered a great Drag Queen. They need style, beauty, dance and lip-syncing ability, and a generally great stage presence. One specific quality, that arguably many Drag Queens do not possess, is humor.

According to some RuPaul’s Drag Race fans, the UK series has provided audiences with the funniest queens so far, as these Queens are more willing to poke fun at themselves. However, only a certain number of UK Queens really stand out. Who were the wittiest Queens in the United Kingdom?

Lawrence Chaney

The 10 Funniest RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Queens Ever

Lawrence Chaney was funny from the get-go. She provided a lot of self-deprecating jokes and fully embraced her Scottish heritage into her comedic identity, making her a Glasgow icon. Even her name became a running joke throughout the season, as RuPaul couldn’t say it without speaking in a Scottish accent.

Her impression of Miriam Margolyes in Snatch Game was hilarious, as was her bit during the season’s stand-up challenge. While it was revealed that much of her playfulness was used to cover up how hard she could be on herself, there’s no denying that her jesting was a large part of why she became the winner of season two.

The Vivienne

The 10 Funniest RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Queens Ever

The Vivienne, Rupaul’s Drag Race UK’s first-ever winner, arguably gained the title because she was such a fantastic comedy queen. She had great banter with the judges, and her performance in the advertising challenge was dripping with humor.

Michelle has stated that The Vivienne’s incredibly funny rendition of Donald Trump for Snatch Game was one of the best impersonations in the history of the franchise, and it was definitely one of the best moments from season 1. It’s no wonder that she continued to perform this impersonation on WOWPresents Plus with Baga Chipz’ Magaret Thatcher, in their show Morning T&T.

Kitty Scott-Claus

The 10 Funniest RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Queens Ever

Kitty Scott-Claus was a ray of light in what might be considered by fans to be a pretty depressing season. Kitty brought a fun and bubbly energy and responded to everything thrown at her with good-natured humor. And who can forget the Kitty Scott-Claus Casting Agency bit she did?

Her increasingly over-the-top reactions to the season’s guest stars, and her telling the other queens to “Suck on that!” when she won a badge, overall made her stand out as a comedy queen for the season. Kitty was also great in Bra Wars and Snatch Game, where she seemed to come in a close second with her impression of Gemma Collins.

Tayce

The 10 Funniest RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Queens Ever

Tayce of season two arguably never intended to be a comedy queen. But she has managed to stand out by just how chaotic she was. This can easily be seen by her crazy moves in the werkroom, a part of the show that has changed in the best way. Her confessional quotes are unparalleled, including the ever-iconic line, “The cheek, the nerve, the gall, the audacity, and the gumption.”

Tayce was simultaneously theatrical and easy-going; she loved drama but always approached it with good wit, making her very entertaining to watch. She was always there to break the tension whenever two queens weren’t getting along, and her comic contributions cannot go underappreciated.

Bimini Bon-Boulash

The 10 Funniest RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Queens Ever

Bimini was a true underdog, going from being in the first lip-sync to being a finalist. Arguably, this switch happened when Bimini dressed up as Katie Price for season two’s rendition of Snatch Game. Her impression was spot-on, and no viewer will ever forget her line “The nipples are the eyes of the face.”

Her bit as a presenter on Morning Glory was very fun to watch, as she bounced off Tayce’s energy very well. Her stand-up routine was also incredible, though of course, most of her funny lines were “Not a joke, just a fact.” Bimini is definitely one of the main reasons that Drag Race UK is one of the best versions of the show.

Choriza May

The 10 Funniest RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Queens Ever

Choriza May often threw out one-liners that weren’t even meant to be jokes, or if they were, Choriza did a fantastic job of playing them off casually. Though of course, her intentionally humorous lines, such as her turn as the Draglexa (which involved her hitting another queen in the face), were a highlight of the challenge.

While RuPaul didn’t love her impression of Margarita Pracatan in Snatch Game, many fans of the show heavily disagreed and loved her energy. People were very upset when she was eliminated, and the season was definitely lacking her fast jokes and overall friendly and witty vibe afterward.

Baga Chipz

The 10 Funniest RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Queens Ever

If there is one iconic quote throughout all three seasons of Drag Race UK, it would have to be “Much Betta!” Baga Chipz instantly became season one’s funniest queen with a single line in the Downtown Draggy challenge, and she definitely deserved to win that challenge. Michelle died with laughter while watching, as did the audience.

While The Vivienne won Snatch Game with her impression of Donald Trump, Baga Chipz’s Margaret Thatcher was not far behind. The interactions between this pair of politicians were so funny that they even have their own show on WOWPresents Plus that continues this hilarious dynamic, called Morning T&T.

Tia Kofi

The 10 Funniest RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Queens Ever

The “Baroness Basic” definitely wasn’t basic when it came to her jokes. Bursting into the werkroom with an understated but clever joke set Tia’s place as a comedy queen. Her confessional quotes are always hilarious, especially when it came to her review of her admittedly sub-par runway looks. Vintage? No. Elegant? No. Hilarious? Absolutely!

It’s a shame that she never made it to the stand-up challenge, and audiences will always wonder what great bits she would have brought to the table. Though, unlike the worst losers of RuPaul’s Drag Race, her exit was great, as she jokingly asked RuPaul if she was sure about the elimination, which left a lasting impression.

Ella Vaday

The 10 Funniest RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Queens Ever

Ella Vaday is incredibly funny, especially when she didn’t originally consider herself a comedy queen, nor did anyone else. However, Ella showed that she could easily stand on her own in comedy challenges when she won the season three rendition of Snatch Game as Nigella Lawson. Her overtly sexual impression made the judges and the audience laugh immensely.

Ella seemed to get funnier and funnier as the season went along. Her role as the villainous Daft Shader in Bra Wars was incredibly camp, and she also did fantastically in the stand-up challenge, roasting Veronica Green in a shady yet good-humored way.

Cheryl Hole

The 10 Funniest RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Queens Ever

This season one queen, otherwise known as “The Queen of Essex” may not be who fans of the show immediately think of as a comedy queen, but she certainly had a lot of funny moments. She was both chaotic and also had an understated self-awareness, for who can forget her quote, “I’m ready for another week of me doing mediocre.”

Audiences loved her and hated her at the same time, but no one could deny how fun she was to watch. From her tongue clicks to her excitement over the girl group challenge to her ever-iconic “I’m a star!” moment. Overall, Cheryl Hole was certainly a w(Hole) lot of fun.
