Survive first, then get your humanity back. That concept later became Abby’s justification for nearly everything she did. Initially, while she may not have been a hero, Abby was considered to have a more reliable moral compass than Kane or Jaha. However, as the seasons wore on, Abby’s role transitioned into a form of a villain.

Abby’s decisions continually got worse, as did her treatment of other people. Abby had an essential role in the show as a doctor and to portray the power struggle between herself and Clarke. In later seasons Abby crossed too many lines and hardly showed remorse for her actions. Of which, several were remarkably awful acts.

10 Slapping Murphy

The 100 10 Worst Things Abby Griffin Has Ever Done

This is not the first time Abby has slapped another person. In season two, Abby hit Raven after discovering that Raven helped Clarke, Bellamy, and Octavia escape Camp Jaha to go after Finn. However, years later, Abby has not learned from that mistake. When Abby learns that Murphy had helped Josephine Lightbourne become a convincing Clarke Griffin, Abby took out her anger on Murphy by slapping him. While Abby is justifiably angry with Murphy for his part in Clarke’s body-snatching, physically attacking him would not do anyone any good.

9 Continually Considered Clarke A Child

The 100 10 Worst Things Abby Griffin Has Ever Done

Since The 100 were sent to the ground, Clarke had joined forces with Bellamy to co-lead the group of delinquents. Before Abby reunited with Clarke, her daughter had gone through far more dangerous events than Abby could have ever imagined and lived to keep fighting to save the rest of her friends from Mount Weather.

However, Abby differed with Clarke several times, believing that she knew better than Clarke, even though she had less experience on the ground and with Grounders. Yet when Raven made a point to tell Abby that Clarke stopped being a child the day Abby sent Clarke to Earth to die, Abby refused to take it to heart.

8 Sent 100 Juvenile Delinquents To The Ground

The 100 10 Worst Things Abby Griffin Has Ever Done

To conserve oxygen for the many, Abby, Jaha, and Kane sacrifice one-hundred juvenile delinquents because they are considered expendable. With only wristbands to prove how the kids are doing, the 100 are entirely on their own. The council could have sent adults that could have studied Earth if they believed there was a genuine chance of going down to the ground early. Instead, Abby was a part of the decision to send ill-prepared children to their deaths.

7 Pill Addiction

The 100 10 Worst Things Abby Griffin Has Ever Done

Between the rivaling clans, far too many people, and other issues, things spiraled negatively quite fast. To deal with the stress, guilt, and pain, Abby turned to pills for relief. However, over time Abby became an addict, desperate for drugs to the point where a detox could cause her pain. After joining Diyoza, Abby agrees to help search for a way to cure the prisoners if she continually receives more pills. Abby’s addiction leads her to do several wrong things to those close to her.

6 Turning In Jake

The 100 10 Worst Things Abby Griffin Has Ever Done

Jake Griffin knew how strict the Ark’s rules were. But, he also understood the citizens of the Ark deserved the truth. Jake had revealed to Abby that the Ark was on its way to losing oxygen and was prepared to go public with the information. When Clarke overheard, she had gone to Wells.

Things got worse when Abby turned in Jake. While Abby was upset to see her husband die, Abby never tells Clarke the truth either. Instead, she allows Wells to take the blame for her actions when Clarke thinks Wells was responsible for Jake’s death.

5 Destroyed The Radiation Chamber

The 100 10 Worst Things Abby Griffin Has Ever Done

In preparation for Praimfaya, Abby and Jackson were searching for a Nightblood solution to distribute to everyone hoping it would save them from the radiation. In a turn of events that is eerily similar to Mount Weather’s methods, Abby uses Luna to extract bone marrow and test it. During the second attempt, Clarke makes a last-minute decision to save Emori and inject herself with the Nightblood. In response, Abby destroyed the radiation chamber so that they never had a chance to find out if it worked. Abby’s decision prevented, what they would all later discover, was a successful solution.

4 Put Kane In A New Body

The 100 10 Worst Things Abby Griffin Has Ever Done

To save Kane’s life, Abby took an innocent man, killed him, and used a mind drive to insert Kane’s essence into the younger man. Raven had repeatedly told Abby that Kane would not want to live his life in another person’s body, but Abby wouldn’t listen and was determined to save Kane. Kane doesn’t even last a day in the new body. Instead, he chose to die rather than walk around in a body that was not his.

3 Abandoned Octavia

The 100 10 Worst Things Abby Griffin Has Ever Done

The years in the bunker were dark for everyone, but Octavia struggled more than anybody. As Blodreina, Octavia needed to keep order in the bunker to keep the human race alive and prevent a massive array of in-fighting. In some of the hardest calls that Octavia had to make, Abby was there, encouraging Octavia to make choices that Octavia begged others to give alternatives to.

When Diyoza and her people arrived and set the bunker free, Abby quickly joined Diyoza’s side, asking to take Kane along. Abby could never take responsibility for her actions in the bunker and raced away from Octavia, claiming Octavia was a monster.

2 Tortured Raven With A Shock Collar

The 100 10 Worst Things Abby Griffin Has Ever Done

For some time, Raven considered Abby to be a mother figure in her life. However, Abby allowed her addiction to impact her relationship with Raven. Raven had grown up with a mother that had addiction problems, and seeing Abby in such a state was likely a familiar sight to Raven. Yet, Raven makes one valid point in the difference between Abby and her mother. Raven’s mother had never physically harmed her the way Abby did when she took advantage of Raven’s shock collar. However, this was not the first time Abby had injured Raven physically, as it also occurred during the second season.

1 Eat Or Die

With a lack of protein available, Abby is the first to point out the last choice they had available. Octavia and Kane were against the idea, not wishing to consume their people as a food source. Yet, Abby continually told Octavia that it was the only choice they had. Octavia asked for other options, but the answer was always the same. When people refused to be cannibals, Abby told Octavia that it had to be a crime not to eat, or else their bodies would deteriorate and not have enough meat to sustain them. Abby also told Octavia that what was considered an offense would increase to ensure more possibilities. Later on, Abby abandoned Octavia in the bunker, and later, allowing Octavia to bear all the responsibility alone and blaming her for everything.
