The Big Bang Theory closed many of its chapters in season 12 when the show concluded. Sheldon and Amy won their Nobel Prize, Penny and Leonard were happily expecting, Raj was starting a new life of independence, and Howard and Bernadette were now working parents of two. The storylines were all wrapped up in a perfect bow … or were they?

There are plenty of things that happened throughout the show’s entirety that keep fans awake at night. These small questions of morals and even plotholes are enough to annoy fans to the point where they have no choice but to go to Reddit and share their qualms with the show.

10 Raj Claimed He Didn’t Know Hindi (But Was Suddenly Fluent In Season 10)

Aside from Stuart, Raj had some of the saddest things happen to him due to his desire to be in a relationship. However, there was so much more to Raj that wasn’t dissected. For starters, in season 3, Raj spoke in Hindi to a confused Sheldon, who didn’t understand the language. But by season 10, the characters flipped. It was Sheldon speaking Hindi to Raj and Raj not understanding what he said.

Likewise, by season 11, Raj understood Ruchi when she spoke Hindi during a cricket match — he even repeated it to Howard. The fact that Raj keeps forgetting whether he speaks Hindi or not bothers fans. Reddit user Neveronlyadream said that the series “wiped the slate clean and created plotholes for the sake of jokes.”

9 When Sheldon Tried To Sell His Sperm

If Sheldon and Leonard really did sell their sperm in the pilot, it would have been one of their best-kept secrets because it’s so unlike both of their characters.

The idea of Sheldon not only selling his sperm without any kind of scientific benefits but doing anything sexual in season 1 has fans scratching their heads and losing sleep. The notion that Sheldon and Leonard were so different in the pilot was “quite annoying,” according to HyakibJelliot.

8 And How Could Sheldon Try To Flirt With Penny!

Not only did Sheldon try to sell his sperm, but he also tried flirting with Penny. A sexualized version of Sheldon is unlike the Sheldon viewers came to love in later episodes. Sheldon’s “nerdy” scenes where he cares far too much about games and has little recognition for sarcasm are the Sheldon fans know and adore.

7 One Word: Food

The food shown on The Big Bang Theory is a sore spot for fans. With the main characters having the most screentime, their entire day is shown from work to dinner. In every scene with food, fans can’t help but think about two things: the sheer size of the portions and the fact that no one really eats their food.

Readysetgo0 told Reddit, “They just poke it with their fork, or push it around the plate; rarely take a bite.” It’s hard not to have nightmares of the characters pushing pieces of their food around on their plates without ever taking a bite.

6 The Finale Was The End Of An Era

While it’s easy to think about the things that bother fans about the show in the middle of the night, it’s also easy to think about all the ways fans are going to miss the show now that it’s gone, and what the cast will star in now that TBBT is done.

When the series finale aired, AnkitJain7 said how much they miss the show and how it was a source of comfort for them. “This show was like a best friend to me,” they said. And now they “can’t stop thinking about” the finale and the growth of its characters.

5 The Entire Storyline When Sheldon Is Hacked Is Implausible

In “The Zarnecki Incursion,” Sheldon finds himself in a pickle when his World of Warcraft profile was hacked and basically lost everything. He called the police to claim he was robbed, but there wasn’t much they could do considering Sheldon was robbed virtually. Seeing how much Sheldon cared about the perks he gained in the game was one of his funniest scenes. However, actual World of Warcraft players lay awake at night knowing that Sheldon’s predicament was impossible.

One Redditor said, “You can’t steal people’s riding mounts in Cataclysm.” The user goes on to say that because of the point in the game that Sheldon was at, his ostrich couldn’t have been stolen, along with other basic things that proved to be untrue.

4 Sheldon And Amy’s Lack Of Care In The Lab

As professional scientists who truly take the time to do their jobs well and abide by the rules, one fan told Reddit how annoying it is to think about two basic rules that Sheldon and Amy broke in “The Vacation Solution.”

Abbygirl said, “I had a problem with Sheldon not wearing gloves for cutting up the brain and Amy not tying her hair up in the lab in those scenes.” Wearing gloves while dealing with something as sensitive as a human brain seems like Lab Rules 101.

3 Penny Did Sheldon Dirty

Fans on Reddit love Penny, but they didn’t love how she took advantage of both Sheldon and Leonard whenever she needed something. In “The Adhesive Duck Deficiency,” Sheldon had no choice but to drive Penny to the hospital when she was injured, even though he only had his learner’s permit.

A few episodes later, Sheldon gets a ticket in the mail for speeding through a red light. A fan noted that since Penny was the owner of the car and the licensed driver that the ticket should have gone to her instead of Penny. However, Penny reported Sheldon as the rightful owner of the ticket and had to go to court. St4ticshock was mad that Penny “did Sheldon dirty” just for the sake of points on her license.

2 Howard’s Bachelor Party Should Have Been Smaller

There are quite a few popular (and unpopular) opinions about Howard floating around the internet in terms of his behavior towards women and his friendship with Raj. His character grew a great deal when he became engaged to Bernadette, but there was something off about his bachelor party that some fans can’t stop thinking about.

Shotsfordays said, “[It] kind of bothers me that they had randoms at Howard’s bachelor party. He’s never spoken to these characters on screen. Should have just been the core group, Stuart, Wil, and Barry.” And they have a point, why were so many random people there when fans had no connection to them?

1 Beverly’s Job Requires Ethics (And She Has None)

Beverly Hofstadter wasn’t a main character, but she was a side character who studied a great deal to become one of the most well-known psychiatrists in her field. For years, Leonard noted as brilliant as his mom was, she was an awful mother who turned him into one of her science projects.

However, JohniiMagii made a point that’s sure to keep viewers up at night. Beverly “would never work again for conducting experiments on raising children,” due to ethical reasons. Her science would also be biased since she is the mother of those she was studying. After hearing this, it’s hard to picture Beverly having the kind of success that was portrayed on the show.
