The Boys 5 Marvel Characters Who Would Fit In With The Seven (& 5 Who Wouldnt At All)

The Boys has a lot to say about the world of superheroes and questions how real superheroes would be treated in modern reality. The heroes and villains featured in the series have plenty of parallels to characters from the Marvel and DC universes.

The question that arises is how would iconic comic book characters fit into the world of The Boys? Would they be able to fit in with The Seven? There are some characters who would fit in perfectly with The Seven, while there are many who wouldn’t. Here are 5 Marvel characters who would fit in with The Seven (& 5 who would not).

10 Human Torch-Would Fit In

Johnny Storm, a.k.a Human Torch, is a member of the Fantastic Four, one of the most iconic supergroups in Marvel. While the group works independently, Storm stands out in the public eye a lot more. Storm enjoys the fame he gets from being a superhero and Vought can use this to their advantage. He would be easy to market to the public as he is charismatic along with being mostly heroic. Plus, his catchphrase “flame on” is perfect for movies and merchandising. Imagine a whole line of products from Vought such as hoodies, t-shirts, and hats all with the words “flame on” written on them. Human Torch would inevitably turn on Vought once their evil schemes were exposed, but if they keep their secrets, Human Torch would be a great addition to The Seven.

9 The Incredible Hulk- Would Not Fit In

The one thing Vought loves more than power is control. Hulk is unpredictable and almost impossible to control. Vought would never want to deal with being attached to The Incredible Hulk as he is a liability nightmare for any company. If Vought sent Hulk somewhere to help, they would have to pay for lots of damages caused by him. Plus, the general public is frightened of the Hulk as he doesn’t come off as friendly. It’s hard to get the public to love a colossal, rage monster. While Vought would love to use Bruce Banner’s brain, they would never want to work with anyone as chaotic as the Hulk.

8 Bullseye-Would Fit In

One of Daredevil’s archenemies, Bullseye would be perfect for The Seven as he is the ultimate assassin who is easy to order around. Vought has a tendency of offing political leaders who threaten to expose their secrets or are not complying with their demands.

Vought can use Bullseye as a way of going after these politicians or anyone who threatens them. He is a silent killer who can kill people with just about anything. He almost never misses, making him the perfect weapon for Vought. Also, he would do well in the public as he can take out terrorists and criminals with relative ease, making him seem like a hero, even though he is truly a psychopath underneath the mask.

7 Deadpool- Would Not Fit In

In fairness, Deadpool doesn’t really fit in with any group. Even as a member of the X-Men and X-Force, he constantly infuriates all of his team members. Plus, Deadpool never listens to order. He essentially does whatever he wants, however, he wants. Vought would be furious at his lack of teamwork and refusal to comply. The public wouldn’t be fans of Deadpool either as he has a crude mouth and a brutal sense of humor. Other members of The Seven, especially Homelander, would hate him as well. Deadpool isn’t evil, but he also isn’t a hero. He’s just Deadpool, which makes him a bad fit for The Seven.

6 Loki-Would Fit In

Vought loves being manipulative and there is no better manipulator than the God of Mischief himself. Loki is an absolute diva and loves being in the public eye. He knows how to charm a crowd, even if he is taking control of them. Loki can not only change his appearance to confuse others, but his staff can force others to do his bidding, making him a valuable asset to Vought and business schemes. However, as Loki is a god, Vought would have to find a way to keep Loki in check as he’s more powerful than most of the other members of The Seven and can easily go rogue.

5 Wolverine-Would Not Fit In

While Wolverine’s healing abilities and razor claws would be valuable for Vought, Wolverine doesn’t like to be controlled. It took a lot of convincing to get Wolverine to join the X-Men and even then he still causes trouble for the team. If Vought asked Wolverine to do something he was against, there is no way he would do it.

He is a solo act, who prefers to do things his own way. He doesn’t care about being liked and has a tough exterior, making it hard to market him to the public. Wolverine’s berserker rage would also not do well within The Seven as his destructive ability would lead to some lawsuits.

4 Mystique-Would Fit In

The Boys 5 Marvel Characters Who Would Fit In With The Seven (& 5 Who Wouldnt At All)

Mystique is the X-Men equivalent of The Boys’ doppelganger character, however, Mystiques’s true form is a beautiful, blue woman. Mystique is perfect for The Seven as she can transform into anybody, but her true form is one that the public can get behind. Vought can also use her powers as a way of manipulating political opponents and gaining their trust. Mystique has shown in the comics that she is willing to do the dirty work to achieve her tasks. Mystique is also a great fighter, meaning she can take down a ton of criminals to aid the public.

3 Doctor Strange-Would Not Fit In

The Boys 5 Marvel Characters Who Would Fit In With The Seven (& 5 Who Wouldnt At All)

Doctor Strange would be a horrible member of The Seven as he simply doesn’t care about anything that Vought does. Vought’s lust for political and economic power means nothing to Doctor Strange as he concerns himself with the mystical arts and the universe. Doctor Strange has multiple dimensions to worry about, not just this one. The only way Vought could get Doctor Strange to work with them would be to blackmail or threaten him, which would not go well with the master of the mystic arts. Doctor Strange has cosmic issues to worry about, meaning Vought’s issues are way beneath his concerns.

2 Iron Man-Would Fit In

The Boys 5 Marvel Characters Who Would Fit In With The Seven (& 5 Who Wouldnt At All)

More specifically, Tony Stark would be a good fit. Stark is extremely charismatic and is most beloved already by the public. Vought could also use the endless resources and money he would bring to The Seven. Stark has also shown in the Civil War storyline, he is not against working with the government and giving superheroes some oversight. He wouldn’t stand for any of the evildoings of Vought, but Vought keeps most things private anyway. There would be a conflict between Stark and Homelander as two huge egos usually work poorly together, but Stark is still a valuable asset who would give Vought a huge advantage over other corporations.

1 Captain America-Would Not Fit In

While Homelander and Captain America both represent America, they are anything but similar. Homelander only does things that are convenient for him and help his reputation with the public. Captain America doesn’t care about his reputation and is willing to do what he thinks is right, even if it goes against the law. As seen in Civil War, Captain America will disobey orders if he doesn’t agree with them. This is what makes him a great hero and a horrible member of The Seven. Captain America also does not play well with Nazis (we’re looking at you, Stormfront).
