The Legend Of Korra: Each Main Character’s Biggest Strength

The cast of The Legend of Korra is an incredible one and each main character is powerful in their own right. Here are their biggest strengths.

The cast of The Legend of Korra is an incredible one. Every single person is strong, unique, capable, and adds a lot to the show in a multitude of ways. In a sense, they all have their own strengths that differentiate themselves from one another.

In The Legend of Korra, Team Avatar has to deal with a huge amount of massive threats that threaten the balance of the world. Every member has to bring their A-game to the field. Everyone has a strength that is different from the next.

7 Korra: Her Resourcefulness

Korra has a lot to deal with throughout the entire show. Besides dealing with world-ending threats just about every day of her life, she also has to contend with that fact that she was severed from the rest of the Avatars.

Every decision that she makes, she has to make alone, and the next Avatar will only have her to talk with. With that in mind, it is amazing that Korra was able to do everything that she did, including stopping Kuvira. She had no guidance on that issue.

6 Mako: His Composure

Just like Korra, Mako has his own set of issues to take on throughout the show. He aids in Korra’s quest and has plenty of his own problems. Throughout all of it, though, he’s really able to keep his cool and think through things logically.

While Mako could be a bit cold or rude at times, it wasn’t like him to ever really fly off the handle. He kept a check on his emotions, and made sure to make the logical choice whenever he was faced with tough circumstances. That’s a hard thing to do considering the situations he found himself in.

5 Bolin: His Dynamism

Despite being situated as the comic relief character of the series, Bolin was no slouch. While he was a ton of fun to watch, he certainly knew when it was time to be serious. He was still an incredibly skilled bender who knew what he was doing.

This man had range. Bolin brought everything to the party, which is part of what made him a great character.

4 Asami: Her Resourcefulness

Asami was just as resourceful as Korra was, but in a completely different way. Asami wasn’t a bender, yet found ways to be just as important to Team Avatar as the rest of the group.

She used her electric glove in combat, and was able to create new machines when needed in order to aid the group in their quests. Despite missing a key element that the rest of the group had, she was just as important to their success in saving the world from harm.

3 Tenzin: One Of The Only Airbenders

Tenzin’s role in the series was incredibly important, as he was the key to restoring the Air Nomads to their former glory. As the only airbender of Aang’s children, it was essential that he carry on the legacy and train Korra to master airbending. While he was the only choice, he was an incredible teacher.

When a group of nonbenders became airbenders, he also stepped in to help them adjust to their role in the world and teach them everything about airbending. Without Tenzin, airbenders would have never had a chance to recover. Under his watchful eye, they were able to do so much more. They were able to flourish.

2 Lin: Her Refusal To Give In

Whether she was stripped of her bending abilities or was forced to work under her own jurisdiction without her officers by her side, Lin Beifong was not one to give up. Her mother is Toph, after all. She was a huge asset to Team Avatar through all four seasons, and was always by their side to help aid in their quests in any way she could.

While she and Korra might have started off on the wrong foot, they were able to quickly overcome this and come together for the greater good of the world. Without the help of Lin, who knows if Avatar Korra would have been able to accomplish everything that she eventually did.

1 Jinora: Her Spirit World Connections

Jinora has one of the strongest connections to the Spirit World that has ever been seen in the show’s history. While her father Tenzin might be an incredible bender, he didn’t come close to Jinora’s prowess in this aspect. And this was her greatest strength. Most importantly, she became Korra’s guide to the spirit world. When all seemed lost in Korra’s fight against Unalaq, Jinora was able to astral project into the middle of the battle and bring the light of Raava back into the world. As such, Korra was successfully able to take down Unalaq and stop the Dark Avatar from becoming a permanent fixture.

While she might not have seemed like it at first, Jinora was one of the most important people in all of The Legend of Korra. Without her, it can be assumed that the world would be a much worse place. This simply cannot be argued with.
