This iPhone 13 Has Parts From The 2007 iPhone And It Costs Almost $7000

Caviar has launched a limited edition Apple iPhone 13 Pro that has a titanium back with elements from the first-generation iPhone model launched by Steve Jobs in 2007. The company is no stranger to tech enthusiasts and has made several rounds of headlines about phones and accessories gilded with precious metals and sold at prices that make even the most expensive iPhones seem cheap. From a gold-plated PlayStation 5 to an iPhone 13 with fragments of an actual 80-million-years-old T-Rex tooth, Caviar has an endless list of products for anyone who is ready to spend a ludicrously high amount of money on them.

Last month, Caviar introduced the Visionaries Collection that celebrates mavericks of the modern world, including Elon Musk. The first product in the collection was an iPhone 13 Pro made from a melted Tesla. With a starting price of about $6,800, the Tesla-themed iPhone is touted to be “an ideal gift for a modern successful person,” which is doublespeak for those that can afford to spend so much on a device.

The newest model in Caviar’s Visionaries Collection commemorates yet another pioneer — Steve Jobs. This unique batch of iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max is not only an ode to Jobs’ legacy, but also the first ever iPhone, which, by all means, turned the heads of many major companies towards the then-budding concept of a “smart” phone. While this collectible iPhone 13 Pro is not for the average user, it will certainly bring the pride of owning a phone that is both — a noteworthy piece of history and one of the most advanced and powerful phones from Apple yet.

An iPhone For True Apple Admirers

The “Steve Jobs Edition” iPhone 13 Pro uses a custom back panel that is made with aviation-grade titanium and is engraved with a diagram representing the internal circuitry of the iPhone 2G. On the back, there is a transparent bitten-Apple logo which houses a fragment of the actual iPhone 2G’s motherboard. The channels engraved on the back move towards the Apple logo “like a circulatory system pushing blood towards a pulsating heart,” according to Caviar. The lower section of the rear is also made with titanium, but has a black-colored Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating to add some contrast against the primary color of the iPhone 13 Pro. Not forgetting, Steve Jobs’s signature which is centrally located on this black patch and etched using a laser.

Only a total of 19 “Steve Jobs Edition” units are being made by Caviar, and they are not cheap. The base iPhone 13 Pro model with this embellishment will cost $6,990, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max starts at $7,530 for the 128GB storage variant. For those who miss the opportunity to identify as “individuals who are truly passionate about high technologies and trailblazing ideas,” there is the opportunity to honor Jobs’ legacy by buying either a miniature silver bust figure with 24-carat gold-plated frames and a half-eaten Apple in place of the heart, or a pair of New Balance sneakers that apparently contain a piece of fabric from the Apple co-founder’s turtleneck.
