Tom Hardy shares a new look at Venom from the upcoming Venom: Let There Be Carnage in a never before seen photo from the set. The sequel to 2018’s box office smash, Venom, will once again see Hardy reprise his role as Eddie Brock, the human host to an alien symbiote alter ego that allows him to act as a lethal vigilante. The sequel’s plot will see Hardy interviewing the serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), who becomes host to another alien symbiote, Carnage, after a failed execution, which causes Kasady to go on a murderous rampage.

After wrapping production early last year and originally given a scheduled release date of October 2020, Let There Be Carnage has seen a number of release delays due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Most recently, the film was pushed back from a September 2021 release to October of the same year. However, due to the rise of the Delta variant, eager fans may see yet another release delay for Venom 2. Given the long wait, it seems Hardy wanted to help keep fans interested by releasing a new photo from the movie.

Via his personal Instagram handle, Hardy shares a new look at Venom in a never before seen set photo from Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The image features a blacked out motorcycle helmet with the reflection of Venom in the visor. Hardy tagged the photo with the Instagram handles venonmovie, sonypictures, bikeshedmotoco, and ducati. So far, the image has already received over 117,000 likes from fans. View the full photo below:

The new image definitely fits the Venom universe, given the prevalence of motorcycles in the first film. Throughout the original 2018 movie, Hardy’s character, and his alien alter ego, rides a customized Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle and Ducati Scrambler 1100 Special. Going further, in the second official trailer for Venom 2, released earlier this month, Brock can be seen riding on an upgraded Ducati superbike, although it isn’t clear exactly which model he’s on. Nevertheless, from Hardy’s Instagram photo, and the Ducati tag, it seems Brock’s love for motorcycles will carry over to the sequel.

While Hardy’s image doesn’t really reveal any new information about the sequel’s story, it does help fans get excited for the film’s eventual release. The image is definitely cool and sleek and fits the overall aesthetics of the Venom world. However, given the number of delays for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, if the movie gets delayed again, fans will need much more than a single Instagram image to tide them over in the future.
