8 Jacob And Bella Should Have Ended Up Together

This isn’t a super unpopular opinion given how many fans were Team Jacob. But in fact, some believe that Edward got worse and worse throughout Twilight. A Reddit user argues that Jacob was always honest with her and he didn’t withhold information.

They had a lot in common, they were friends from a young age, and he was there for her when Edward left. Plus, Bella wouldn’t have had to give up her family and the life she knew if she and Jacob ended up together.

His story with Bella ended in the third installment when he received her wedding invitation, and when he ran off he should have stayed away. They point out that if he hadn’t returned, Jacob could’ve had his own spinoff series, as fans would want to know what happened to him.

4 Jacob Should’ve Ended Up With Leah

Leah was never much of a romantic interest for Jacob, but a Reddit user argues that they would’ve made a great couple. It was clear that Bella never would’ve left Edward, so Jacob never could have been with her to begin with.

They point out that Jacob and Leah being together, knowing that they could imprint on someone else, would have been an interesting and beautiful sentiment. Eternity is a reoccurring theme in the series, and Jacob and Leah choosing to spend what time they can with each other would have been an ideal ending for them both.

2 Jacob Was Unlikeable In New Moon

Whether they like Jacob or not, most fans can agree that New Moon was where Jacob began to stand out. However, that doesn’t mean he stood out in a good way. A Reddit user feels bad that Bella used him in the second installment but believes Jacob is terribly written and nothing more than a plot device.

He caused drama with the Cullens due to his hatred for vampires and was too possessive of Bella at times. The user goes on to say that his brief phone conversation with Edward is the reason he wanted to die.

1 Jacob Is Better In The Movies

There are several book-to-movie changes that no one talks about in Breaking Dawn, especially Alice’s vision that left fans of the book shocked and confused. Jacob is another aspect of the saga that changed onscreen, and a Reddit user prefers him in the movies.

It’s rare to enjoy a movie character more than the book character, and Jacob wasn’t painted in the best light in either version. However, which version of Jacob is less likable is up to fans to decide for themselves.
