Vanderpump Rules has some of the most interesting and consistently entertaining reality television characters out there. While some of the newer seasons of the show might be less over the top than earlier ones, the cast of characters has brought the drama through their friendships, cheating scandals, and relationship issues over many years.

One of the most controversial figures from the series is Jax Taylor. From season one, he’s been one of the most memorable because of his horrible behavior, cheating issues, and uncaring attitude. Here are the ten worst things he ever did on the show, ranked leading up to the worst.

10 Getting in a fight with Frank in Las Vegas

During the first season of Vanderpump Rules, things already started out pretty wild. When Stassi breaks up with Jax and then heads to Vegas for her birthday with her new boyfriend Frank, she tells Jax not to come.

Never one to respect boundaries, Jax shows up anyway. This leads to Jax and Frank having a fistfight in the parking lot of a strip mall. They both act like animals and tear their shirts off. It was truly embarrassing for both of them.

9 Breaking up with Laura Leigh after her support group

After Stassi breaks up with Jax, he briefly dates Laura Leigh. She’s another server at Sur, and she’s someone who is recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. After going to a support group with her and her revealing some of her struggles with him, he breaks up with her. The fact that he was so callous is hard to watch.

But, luckily, Laura Leigh gets the last laugh by being the only person in the group to get a big break in an actual Hollywood movie alongside Jennifer Aniston.

8 Stealing sunglasses in Hawaii

Jax is often accused of having a personality disorder of some kind, and, while that’s all just speculation, it’s true that he doesn’t have a lot of regard for rules or authority. He’s somewhat of a kleptomaniac in earlier seasons of the series, and it’s revealed that he often participates in petty theft.

During a trip to Hawaii, Jax ends up stealing a pair of sunglasses, and this time he gets caught. While this is a bad thing to do, at least he doesn’t hurt anyone else in this situation, and he actually gets in trouble for once.

7 Fired Sandoval from being his best man

In the most recent season of Vanderpump Rules, Jax and best friend Tom Sandoval have had falling out. Jax, and Brittany, too, basically use their wedding as an opportunity to manipulate all their friends.

Anytime any of their friends bring up any concerns, they turn themselves into victims by saying that their friends are ruining their wedding. The fact that Jax kicked Tom out of his wedding because Tom was concerned about the homophobic pastor wasn’t a good look. While Jax did let Sandoval back into the wedding, the way he went about all of this was really manipulative.

6 Dating Tiffany and Carmen at the same time

Jax is well-known for treating all of his girlfriends poorly. It’s known by everyone that he tends to cheat on his girlfriends and that he is quite a player.

After things with Stassi officially ended, Jax briefly dates two women named Carmen and Tiffany. While he says that they both are aware he is dating other people, it’s revealed he didn’t really tell them that. This is just one of many examples of Jax not respecting the women he is with.

5 Trying to get Brittany to make him sandwiches and being really sexist

While Jax treats most women he’s with poorly, no one has to put up with more of his bad behavior than Brittany. This is likely because they have a longer-term relationship and because Brittany seems to put up with his behavior more than someone like Stassi did.

While Brittany seems to do a lot for Jax, soon after they move in together, he starts treating her really badly. He starts telling her to take care of him, cook for him, and pamper him even though they are both working. He seems to think he deserves to be taken care of but doesn’t want to return the favor.

4 Body shaming Brittany

While telling Brittany to make him a sandwich is bad enough, Jax continued on the path of treating her poorly when he started body-shaming her. He even did this in front of her own family during the spin-off Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky. He tells her family that Brittany has “lost her spark” and that she has gained weight.

He seems to think he owns her body as evidenced by how he acts after paying for her boob job, and he doesn’t ever apply these strict standards of looking good to himself.

3 Cheated on Stassi twice

Stassi and Jax have a very toxic relationship, and Jax is at some of his worst when with her. He first cheats on her with a girl in Vegas, and then, when he’s trying to make things work with her again, it’s revealed that he had slept with Kristin, Stassi’s best friend. Kristin was also dating Tom Sandoval at the time.

The way that Jax disrespected Stassi as well as his own close friends really revealed how little he cared about anyone around him.

2 Hired a homophobic pastor and then didn’t take responsibility for it

While Jax has seemed to mature somewhat over the seasons, especially after the tragedy of his dad dying, he hasn’t changed completely. In a recent episode from season eight, the show addressed the fact that Jax and Brittany had hired a really homophobic pastor to perform their wedding.

While Jax and Brittany claimed ignorance, many of their friends asked them to explain. Instead of taking responsibility and apologizing, Jax and Brittany made themselves into victims. Jax also made some pretty homophobic and biphobic comments about friends such as Ariana Madix who identifies as bisexual.

1 Cheated on Brittany

While Jax has done a lot of horrible things to other people on the show, the one thing that seemed the worst of all was when he cheated on Brittany. The way he cheated on Stassi was awful, too, but their relationship seemed like a toxic disaster already.

Brittany did seem to actually care about Jax despite how poorly he had already been treating her. The fact that he then cheated on her and then also broke up with her was really hard to watch.
