Venom Vs Carnage Their 10 Biggest Fights In The Comics

When Spider-Man came back to Earth with an alien symbiote he believed was a costume, it kick-started one of the most popular characters in Marvel Comics. The symbiote ended up becoming Venom and eventually created other symbiotes, the first of which bonded with convicted serial killer Cletus Kasady and became Carnage.

Since that time, Venom and Carnage became blood rivals, fighting more than once and trying to kill each other several times. They pulled other heroes and villains into their fights more than once and their biggest fights in comics rocked the Marvel universe more than once.

10 Eating The Symbiote

This was not so much a fight as it was Venom destroying Carnage, proving who the dominant symbiote was. In Peter Parker Spider-Man #9 by Howard Mackie and John Romita Jr., Eddie Brock snuck into the prison area where Cletus Kasady stayed. He took out the guards and attacked, eating the Carnage symbiote right out of Kasady.

Venom reclaimed his offspring, leaving the killer alone and broken. The symbiote ended up dormant inside Brock until eventually it escaped and found its way back to Kasady.

Eddie Brock met Cletus Kasady while in prison. Soon, the symbiote came for Eddie, bonding with him and helping him escape. However, he left his offspring before leaving and it bonded with Kasady, creating a murderous symbiote in its wake.

This led to a massive three-way battle between Spider-Man, Carnage, and Venom, in Amazing Spider-Man #361-363 by David Michelinie and Mark Bagley. Venom and Spider-Man eventually had to work together to stop the villain because Carnage is stronger than Venom.
