Warframe How To Spawn & Defeat Sisters Of Parvos

In Warframe’s latest update “Sisters of Parvos” players were introduced to a deadly new foe, courtesy of Vala Glarios and Parvos Granum of the Corpus. The Sisters of Parvos are Corpus super-soldiers who act as the nemesis of the Tenno whose actions created them and will cause several problems until they are slain.

It’s worth making this sort of enemy though since successfully besting a Sister of Parvos can grant the player a variety of rewards. These rewards include several new “Tenet Weapons” or the ability to convert them into allies. These rewards mean that, despite the trouble they can cause while active, Sisters of Parvos are always worth the trouble of hunting down.

How to Unlock Sisters of Parvos and Locate a Candidate

Players will need to complete a number of steps before they can gain access to the Sisters of Parvos. First, they will need to complete the quests “The War Within” and “Call of the Tempestarii.” The latter of these quests introduces the character Valara Glarios, who is chosen by Parvos Granum to choose candidates for the Sisters of Parvos. After completion of both quests, the unique Corpus enemy type “Candidate” can spawn under the right conditions.

In order for a Candidate to spawn, players must be in a mission with the “Corpus Ship” tileset and complete the Granum Void challenges while qualifying for Rank 1 Nightmare difficulty rewards (by using a Zenith Granum Crown). Having done this, it is now possible for a Candidate to spawn on the map. To create a Sister of Parvos, players must defeat a Candidate with a Parazon Mercy Kill. This is done by dealing enough damage to down the Candidate and then approaching them and pressing the interact button.

It is important to note that a player may only have one Sister of Parvos or Kuva Lich active at any time, and may not create another until the active one is dealt with. Additionally, when the player is standing over a downed Candidate ready to perform the killing blow, the Candidate will display the icon and name of the Tenet weapon they will wield once created and drop when killed.

How the Sisters of Parvos Affect Gameplay

Now that a Sister has been created it will take over a portion of the Star Map and begin causing trouble. The Sister will claim a number of mission nodes on the Star Chart, stealing a portion of the player’s rewards when completing missions on those nodes. These stolen rewards can only be reclaimed by defeating the Sister. As an additional hindrance, these nodes will be patrolled by mechanized hound enemies the Sister deploys to guard her territory and she will occasionally join the fray herself. The Sister’s influence over a node can be removed by completing the “Sister Controlled Territory” mission that appears at those nodes.

The Sister doesn’t take kindly to her pets being killed, however, and killing Hounds will cause her anger meter to increase. Anger is rated in the following five stages:

Indifferent -> Annoyed -> Fuming -> Furous -> Enraged

As the Sister grows angrier, the odds of encountering her in missions will increase. When the player faces the Sister and fails to successfully perform a mercy finisher on her she will become staggered, swear vengeance, and then gain a level before despawning and spreading her influence to a new planet. She will also spread her influence to a new planet and gain a level if the player completes all of the “Sister Controlled Territory” missions that are available.

The planets the Sister occupies, and the level of enemies in the missions she creates there, are determined by her level, as shown below:

Mission Nodes the Sister controls are covered in blue clouds on the Star Map menu.

How to permanently defeat a Sister of Parvos

Defeating a Sister of Parvos is no easy task, as they can survive killing blows and escape to fight again if the player fails to take the proper steps. To defeat her permanently, players will need to collect the appropriate Requiem mods and arrange them in the correct order on their Parazon (Accessible from the Arsenal).

To learn which Requiem mods are needed, players should take out the Sister’s Hounds during missions at nodes she controls to collect “Requiem Murmurs.” Collecting enough Requiem Murmurs will update the Sister’s status page to show one of the Requiem Mods needed to kill her, so repeating this process will eventually reveal all of them. Three Requiem Mods are needed, but no amount of Murmurs will reveal the order they must be in, so the player must test different orders when fighting her until they find the correct one.

When encountering the Sister in missions she will have a Shield Bar and three Health Bars. Depleting a Sister’s Health Bar to 5% causes the Sister to fall to one knee and begin regenerating rapidly. During this time a Mercy can be triggered. A successful mercy attack will destroy her health bar, while a failed mercy attack will cause her to despawn and rank up. Sisters are always accompanied by their Hound in battle, and if it is still alive when the Sister’s first health bar is depleted, it will self-destruct, dealing radial damage and rewarding no Murmur progress.

Once the correct order is found, the Sister will escape one final time, fleeing to her Ship in Neptune Proxima at a node called “Sister Confrontation.” Players must then face off with several Corpus Crew Ships, and take down the Corpus Ship’s security nodes to board it and fight the Sister one more time. This time she’ll be flanked by two random Warframe specters along with her hound and will be invulnerable until they are beaten. She only has a single large health bar this time, and once depleted there will be a final mercy prompt. After taking her down, the player will be faced with two choices: Vanquish the Sister or Convert her.

Regardless of which choice the player makes, they will receive all mission rewards that were stolen by the Sister. If they Vanquish the Sister they will receive her Tenet Weapon and her Hound (Who will be named after her). These will appear “Ready to Claim” in the Foundry, and bypass their Mastery Rank requirements. All players who took part in the mission will also receive a random Hound component blueprint. If they Convert the Sister, she will become an ally, appearing at random to assist the player on missions when bleeding out and becoming available as a defensive crew member on Railjack missions.

There is a 20 second time limit to make a choice, and Vanquish will be selected automatically if no choice is made.

Additional Information about Sisters of Parvos

There are some additional useful things to know about the Sisters of Parvos when tracking them across the Star Map. First, it’s worth knowing that when a Sister is created they have a 20% chance of having a special ephemera equipped. This ephemera can be acquired when the Sister is defeated, regardless of whether they are Vanquished or Converted. Sisters can also spawn with one of several special quirks that can affect their behavior and dialog, such as Paranoia (Which causes them to attack allied Corpus units) or a Fear of Being alone (Which causes them to comment if there are no other Corpus units nearby).

Corpus Shield Ospreys are very dangerous when fighting a Sister, since they will fully restore their shields when linking up with them, undoing any damage you might have already dealt. Some players report this can sometimes be prevented by inflicting the Radiation damage status effect, but it’s best to take out all Shield Ospreys as quickly as possible to reduce this risk.
