A new video showing Disney California Adventure Park’s Avengers Campus gives an inside look at WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. Having become one of Disney’s most important commodities and a pop culture sensation, it was only a matter of time before the MCU’s influence increased at Disney’s various parks. In 2019, the Avengers Campus was officially announced, but its scheduled opening of July 2020 was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic, as Disney parks closed for the majority of 2020. Now that Disney’s California parks have been back in business, the Avengers Campus is ready to be opened to guests on June 4.

Built around the existing Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, the campus promises to be an immersive experience that will allow guests to be up-close and personal with superheroes like Thor and Spider-Man, as well as featuring incredible sights like the Quinjet. In addition to that, it will feature attractions like Pym Test Kitchen (with its $100 sandwich) and the feature attraction of Avengers Campus, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, that includes an appearance from Tom Holland as well. The ride that a new map showed is housed in the Stark Industries warehouse will see aspiring heroes join Spider-Man to destroy rogue Spider-Bots. Now, thanks to a new video, fans can get an inside look at the Campus’ feature attraction.

The Disney Parks official YouTube channel released the Avengers Campus Opening Ceremony, which gives fans a virtual tour of the Avengers Campus and its various attractions, including WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. The video shows the detailed set designs when entering the ride, including Peter Parker and co.’s workstations, which shows where their new Spider-Bot is being tested, but a brand new feature gone wrong allows the Spider-Bot to replicate. The video also shows guests picking up their 3D Web Vision glasses from the assembly line, as well as providing a snippet of the on-ride experience and its impressive 3D visuals. Fans see Spider-Man guiding guests who will also have to sling webs at a giant Spider-Bot. If that wasn’t enough, the video shows Zoe Saldana getting off the ride screaming: “That was amazing!”

The level of detail that’s gone into the set and designs around the ride is very impressive, and more importantly, the 3D visuals for the ride look great. Holland said the ride was “the most I’ve ever felt like Spider-Man,” and judging by this video, WEB SLINGERS feels like the perfect ride for fans young and old to live out that fantasy of being Spider-Man. Also, fans will be able to add to the Spider-Man fueled experience by purchasing a WEB Power Band, which will allow them to shoot multiple webs at once, and it will also be a souvenir for guests to take home. Plus, according to Gamora, it’s “amazing!”

WEB SLINGERS looks to be a perfect attraction to lead the new Avengers Campus and the perfect attraction to bring in more people as Disney’s California Parks look to reopen to out of state guests from June 15. Kevin Feige stated in the Opening Ceremony that the Avengers Campus will never be completed and will continue to evolve with the MCU, which is exciting news for all MCU fans and future California Adventure guests. To keep in line with Disney Parks being a happy destination, the Avengers Campus also avoids references to Thanos’ snap. Marvel fans will certainly be happy, as along with the plethora of MCU Phase 4 content on its way, they will now be able to experience WEB SLINGERS and the Avengers Campus.
