The show was considered a slick, entertaining production, though critics took issue with the pacing and over-reliance on exposition to explain how magic functions in nearly every episode. Sadly, the release date for The Irregular At Magic High School season 2 has yet to be confirmed. Some reports suggest season 2 would air April 5, 2019, but Madhouse hasn’t announced an air date yet. Other reports state season 2 will run for 13 episodes instead of the 26 that comprised season 1 and it could appear sometime in fall 2019, but again, this has yet to be officially confirmed.
