The Star Wars original trilogy is a phenomenon like no other that introduced millions of people to the Galaxy far, far away, and a plethora of characters that have become iconic throughout pop culture.

This collection of characters are all bursting with personality and unique qualities, and so align pretty well with the signs of the zodiac, and, no need to worry—no star sign aligns with Jabba the Hutt here.

12 Aries – Leia Organa

Passionate, motivated, determined, and a fierce leader, Princess/General Leia Organa is the best example of an Aries presented by the original trilogy. She is loyal, smart and unable to rest until all of her goals are satisfied. Leia puts everything she has into everything she wants, and her passion shines throughout each movie as she juggles romance, friendship, and rebellion.

11 Taurus – Chewbacca

Best friend and companion to Han Solo, and one of the most loyal characters in all of Star Wars, there is no other character who possesses the traits of a Taurus quite like Chewie. Chewbacca does have a penchant for food and comfort like a Taurus. Still, he is also fiercely loyal and hardworking, as well as the most reliable co-pilot in the Galaxy, and a stubborn Wookie, embodying all the qualities of a Taurus.

10 Gemini – Luke Skywalker

Luke and Leia may be twins, both embodying a lot of what an Aries is, but Luke seems to slot into the Gemini side of things more than you would think.

For one, he is a twin, but, at the same time, there is always a battle of duality within him, and two sides to him that you might get. He wants to stay and help his uncle but wants to go across the stars, for example, and he could either be the fun, friendly Luke, or a sulky, whiny teen. He is inconsistent but can learn quickly, summing up a Gemini.

9 Cancer – R2-D2

Artoo possesses a lot of traits that could fit him into a zodiac like Taurus, but, ultimately, he fits well with Cancer, especially in the original trilogy. On the one hand, Artoo has a tendency to be moody and a bit nippy with people, but is also caring, immensely loyal, and embodies a lot of both sides to the Cancer sign.

8 Leo – Darth Vader

The typical thought might be to pair Vader automatically with a stereotypically villain-esque zodiac, but Darth Vader embodies Leo qualities, unlike most others. Possessing an analytical nature, as well as being pretty uptight and critical, both Threepio and Virgo’s are hardworking worriers. And, despite the essential nature, both are kind.

6 Libra – Lando Calrissian

As cool of a customer as they come, Lando Calrissian oozes charisma, and, if you fall under the Libra zodiac, you are a good match for the man with the cape collection.

Lando is the trilogy’s most charming character, and he clearly has an air of vanity about him that helps his pairing with a Libra. He prefers things to be harmonious, and he loves love, loves beauty, and loves himself, too.

5 Scorpio – Emperor Palpatine

Scorpio’s tend to get a bad rap, and this entry does not do that any favors, but the typical connections between Scorpio’s and Palpatine are undeniable. Ambitious beyond belief, cunning, determined, always with a hidden agenda or purpose, Scorpio’s belong in the house of Slytherin and pair perfectly with Emperor Sheev Palpatine.

4 Sagittarius – Han Solo

Han Solo is one of the most iconic characters in all of popular culture, and his scoundrel nature means he pairs well with the Sagittarius star sign.

Fiery and passionate, both Han and Saggitarians value freedom and adventure and are independent with strong wills. Han blazes his own path and encompasses what it is to be a Sagittarius.

3 Capricorn – Grand Moff Tarkin

Grand Moff Tarkin is the quintessential Capricorn, and, if you fall under the Capricon zodiac, you may find a lot of similarities between you and him.

Practical and disciplined, Tarkin values order and is unforgiving in his ambitious pursuits. He has a narrow mindset and represents responsibility and status and embodies all the main qualities of a Capricorn.
