Alison Victoria from Windy City Rehab is an interior designer and reality TV personality with an estimated net worth of $4 million. The show’s host is currently facing lawsuits that could potentially deplete her wealth.

On Windy City Rehab, Alison rehabs houses from top to bottom, in her hometown of Chicago, Illinois. Alison aims to find hidden gems in historic neighborhoods and restores them into Windy City Rehab properties that high-end buyers will be interested in. The ultimate goal is to earn a profit on the properties that she chooses and renovates. In the finale of Windy City Rehab season 2, Alison faces a low point in her life, both emotionally and financially. Her co-star Donovan Eckhardt was also her romantic partner… until Tuesday night’s episode. Alison revealed during an interview that her relationship with Donovan is over. To make matters worse, Victoria and Eckhardt are facing lawsuits for improper construction of properties they’ve renovated and sold together. Alison’s finances might be heavily impacted by the people trying to sue her.

According to Cinemaholic, Alison has an approximate net worth of $4 million. Victoria earned her wealth through her interior design career. After working in the industry for a few years, she started her own interior design firm called Alison Victoria Interiors. Later on in her career, Alison landed a position on DIY Network’s Crashers series. She was able to grow her wealth further by combining her interior design career with reality television. Despite lawsuits that could make her life much harder, she is staying positive, as seen in the Instagram post below:

In the last year, the reality hosts have been named in two lawsuits. In both cases, homeowners claimed that they found faulty Windy City Rehab renovations after purchasing homes. Some of the reported problems included, “leaks and water penetration”, garage floor issues, negligent construction, and “crumbling exterior mortar”. Repairs for these reported issues have cost the new homeowners a lot of money, which is why they have initiated lawsuits. “I have people trying to sue me for the construction of the home, which I don’t do,” Alison explained. Even though Victoria and Eckhardt own most of the properties they renovate, she only oversees the design portion of the alterations. Donovan is responsible for the construction and financing of their projects.

Alison Victoria broke down during that episode, saying: “Dealing with that while you’re trying to separate from a man who doesn’t care, who is gone… It’s a bad place to be.” Alison then elaborated on her frustration about the situation, “All these home buyers are claiming construction problems. Donovan was supposed to be in charge of the construction. I’m the designer. And yet when the time comes to write checks, everybody looks to me because he won’t return anyone’s phone calls… They’re holding me accountable too. And I have to hold myself accountable. I’m 50% owner on the LLC because I got into business with a person who cost me everything.”

When Windy City Rehab started in January 2019, the couple also faced “stop work” orders on numerous properties. In addition, Donovan had his general contractor and property development licenses suspended by the city of Chicago. During season two, Victoria reported that Eckhardt made questionable payments to his own businesses and had missed over 20 inspections. Victoria is in the process of removing herself from this situation emotionally and financially, but it’s not a simple process. “I just have to figure out how to cut my losses with Donovan Eckhardt. I ended my partnership with him, but because I’m so entangled with him… It gets me one step farther from any association to him. This is my way out. Sell them, cut my losses.”

There’s an old saying that goes, “with great power comes great responsibility”. In the modern world, power mainly comes in the form of money. Alison is fortunate to be able to follow her dream of renovating homes, but she’s selling homes which may be the biggest investments the buyers ever make. Even though Victoria didn’t oversee the construction portions of the renovations, she’s being held accountable because of her heavy involvement in the projects. In the eyes of the law, this will make her and Donovan equally responsible for faulty renovations. Hopefully, Victoria can somehow prove that she wasn’t responsible for the dysfunctional renovations, to ensure that her wealth and Windy City Rehab reputation is protected.
