The new promo for Young Sheldon season 5, episode 4 sees Sheldon (Iain Armitage) and Missy (Raegan Revord) getting their own bedrooms. After focusing on the budding romance between George Cooper (Lance Barber) and Brenda Sparks’ (Melissa Peterman) in its first two episodes, The Big Bang Theory’s spin-off is finally expanding its narrative. Its upcoming outing centers on the relationship of the Cooper twins following Georgie’s (Montana Jordan) decision to drop out of school.

In Young Sheldon season 5, episode 3, George and Mary’s (Zoe Perry) firstborn decided to quit studies altogether. Uninspired and disinterested, Georgie argued that it’s better if he started working full time instead. Expectedly, this caused a commotion at home, with both of his parents understandably opposed to the idea. However, Georgie was insistent, resulting in his father kicking him out of the house. Fortunately, a more sympathetic Meemaw (Annie Potts) took him in and allowed her grandson to stay in her house. This effectively frees up his room in his childhood home, but it seems like it won’t be vacant for a long time.

CBS released a brand new promo for Young Sheldon season 5, episode 4 titled “Pish Posh and a Secret Back Room” and it reveals Missy suggesting that she gets her older brother’s room. This means that she gets her own space, as does Sheldon. While she’s ecstatic about the idea, her brother’s obviously a little apprehensive. Watch the full clip below:

Based on the footage, it doesn’t seem like George’s decision to kick out Georgie sticks. He’s part of the dinner conversation where Missy suggests that she gets her own bedroom, so chances are that his dad’s no longer pissed at him. Still, the conversation about him moving to the garage is interesting. If he’s not reclaiming his bedroom, chances are that he’s still adamant about ditching school altogether. In any case, The Big Bang Theory revealed that he ends successfully in his own way in the future. Georgie goes out to become a great businessman after he founded his company named Dr. Tire. Unfortunately, by the time this comes to fruition, George’s already dead — at least according to the established continuity from Young Sheldon’s parent series.

As someone who likes things in a very specific way, Sheldon seemingly doesn’t like the idea of no longer sharing a room with his sister. Throughout the new Young Sheldon promo, it’s Missy who is pushing the idea, with no support from her twin. If anything, she even needs to convince him that they need their own space as they continue to grow. A brief shot shows Sheldon occupying the whole room, presumably after Missy moved out, but it’s clear that he’s not thrilled about it.
