One talented Legend Of Zelda fan recently made an incredible clay sculpture of Breath Of The Wild 2’s Bokoblin-piloted Stone Talus. This giant rock golem was first spotted in the Nintendo Direct trailer at this month’s E3, where it rose from the ground to challenge Link with the help of the small goblins riding on its shoulders.

Craft projects based on Nintendo’s long-running dungeon-crawler RPG franchise are nothing new. Fans have recreated the ominous moon of 2000’s Legend Of Zelda: Majora’s Mask as a fish tank decoration remade the Sapphire Ring from Ocarina Of Time as an engagement gift, and have even created a miniature version of Link’s House from the original Breath Of The Wild, complete with several micro-sized details that most players would miss. Now, as anticipation for the upcoming sequel ramps up, a skilled sculptor is bringing one of the new game’s enemies to life.

North of the Border, who has previously turned heads with his detailed sculptures of Wind Waker’s Outset Island and Link’s house from Link’s Awakening among many other passion projects, has created a highly detailed miniature replica of the Bokoblin Talus from the Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 trailer. In the lengthy YouTube video below, he goes through the numerous steps needed to create his masterpiece, including carving out the main model from Styrofoam, painting it, and adding a small grassy base, cardboard platforms, and clay Bokoblins to recreate the fearsome rocky giant in all of its glory.

Much is still unknown about the recently unveiled Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2, as its very title is being withheld by Nintendo to avoid potential spoilers. Some fans have speculated that the game will have more than one playable protagonist and that the second one could be a younger version of longtime franchise villain Gannon. In the meantime, fans have already gone to work creating stunning artwork of Link in his skydiving attire or even a poster in the style of Red Dead Redemption 2.

North of the Border’s sculpture of Breath Of The Wild 2’s Bokoblin Talus is on a whole different level, capturing the massive behemoth in a surprising level of detail for such a small scale. It’s just another instance of video games like The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 inspiring creativity in the people who play them, just as much as they spark it in the talented people that make them.
