Paramount+ is the newest streaming service to join the streaming world, replacing the less popular CBS All Access in the process. While Nickelodeon has its fair share of successful shows over the years, there’s no denying that the 2000s was the true golden age for the networks. 10 All Grown Up!
The original Rugrats dominated the ’90s and became one of the most iconic children’s animation shows of all time. Not ready to give up on the kids, Nickelodeon decided to do something animation shows rarely do – age up its characters. And thus, All Grown Up! was born.
The series followed Tommy Pickles and his friends as they entered their formative preteen years tackling middle school and all the adventures it has to offer. Though they may have gotten older, Tommy and his friends were still always up for an adventure.

As Told by Ginger might be an underrated Nickelodeon show but there’s no denying that it was one of the best at the time. In fact, part of the appeal of the series was that the characters not only grew up but they also changed their outfits every day.

The series followed Drake and Josh as they adapted to their new reality of being stepbrothers. Though they couldn’t be more opposite if they tried, Drake and Josh eventually form a tight brotherly bond as they get into questionable situations, all the while trying to avoid the wrath of their younger, evil sister Megan.
6 iCarly
Miranda Cosgrove may have gotten her start playing Megan on Drake and Josh, but stepped out from her costars’ shadows when she landed her own Nickelodeon show, iCarly.
The series really tapped into the YouTube era by having Carly Shay start her own vlog alongside her best friends Sam and Freddie. In addition to running an extremely successful internet show, the trio must deal with the regular growing pains of high school like falling in love and getting their hearts broken.

Nickelodeon might be best known for its animated shows, but the 2000s provided live-action series, as well. Included in this elite group was the series Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.
The series centered on Ned Bigby, an average middle schooler who has made it his mission to help others survive middle school by creating a survival guide with hundreds of tips. With the help of his two best friends, Moze, and Cookie, Ned is able to help his peers survive Mondays, bad teachers, and even bad haircuts.
4 SpongeBob SquarePants
There’s no denying that SpongeBob SquarePants is Nickelodeon’s most successful animated show. After all, it is one of the longest-running animated shows of all time. And now, for the first time ever, every season of the show is available to stream on Paramount+.
While there are hundreds of amazing episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants, they all follow SpongeBob getting into some kind of predicament whether that be with his friends or facing obstacles at his job at the Krusty Krab.
3 The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius
Following the success of the theatrically-released Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius movie, Nickelodeon decided to revisit the characters of Retroville and created the animated show The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius.
The series followed Jimmy Neutron, a fifth-grade genius who was always creating a new invention to make life easier. Of course, these inventions never turned out quite right leaving Jimmy and his two best friends Carl and Sheen tracking down the invention gone wrong to save the people of Retroville.
2 The Fairly Odd Parents
Next to SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents is arguably the second biggest animated show to come out of Nickelodeon in the 2000s.
10-year-old Timmy Turner doesn’t have the best life. His parents ignore him and his babysitter is pure evil which is why he’s been granted with two of the best fairy godparents ever: Cosmo and Wanda. Armed with his magical godparents, Timmy is able to wish for anything he wants which sometimes turns out better than others.
1 Zoey 101
No one made boarding school look quite as fun as the cast of Zoey 101 did when the series released in 2005. Though the show ended up being canceled, but not for the reasons people believe, Zoey 101 was undeniably one of the most popular live-action shows of the era.
The dramedy series followed Zoey Brooks (Jamie Lynn Spears) as she and her girlfriends become the first girls to be admitted to the elite Pacific Coast Academy. Along the way, Zoey befriends a trio of boys who have mixed feelings about the presence of girls on their campus.
