Tohru is not terrified by his appearance and embraces Kyo. Tohru’s acceptance of him causes Kyo to revert back into his regular Cat form, and he and Tohru return to the house together. This heartwarming scene is one of the highlights of Fruits Basket thus far and forms the foundation of Tohru’s and Kyo’s relationship.
