Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were the definitive child stars of the 1990s and early 2000s, but their younger sister Elizabeth Olsen is the one known to the general public today. The twins have had some iconic roles beloved among younger audiences while their younger sister has been acing the role of Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And while the three sisters definitely have some interesting roles in movies, they also had success with TV series. In fact, the Olsen twins got started on a television sitcom while Elizabeth Olsen recently starred in Marvel’s wildly successful WandaVision. In other words, there are definitely some very interesting works of theirs to check out.

10 Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper (1992-1997): 6.4, Available On Hulu

Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper was one of the very first roles the Olsen twins got. In fact, it was a single role that the two shared with each other, as filming such a young child in a single role was more difficult for production.

The sisters guest-starred as Michelle Tanner in the second episode of the show after already playing Michelle in Full House for several years. The story followed Mr. Cooper who worked as a teacher and got into day-to-day adventures with his housemates.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were only six months old when they were cast in Full House. The two would play the role of Michelle Tanner from the sitcom’s start in 1987 and up until its conclusion in 1995. While on the show, the twins would also star as separate characters in video and TV movies that would advance their early careers.

The story follows a widowed father who asks his brother-in-law and best friend to help him raise his three daughters of whom Michelle was the youngest.

Two of a Kind was the first TV series of the twins after their days on Full House. And even though it only lasted a season, the sitcom would air in reruns for several years onwards making it one of the most recognizable works of the two sisters.

It told the story of a widowed father who works as a college professor and has to raise his two twin daughters that are the complete opposites of each other.

7 Samantha Who? (2007-2009): 7.3, Available On ABC

In the later years of her acting career, Mary-Kate Olsen didn’t appear much on TV or the big screens. Nevertheless, she had an interesting guest appearance in 2008 on the sitcom Samantha Who?

The series followed a female vice president of a real estate firm suffering from amnesia who tries to understand who she really is. In one episode, Olsen played a self-destructive girl named Natalie who Samantha tried to help.

6 Sorry For Your Loss (2018-2019): 7.4, Available On Facebook Watch

Though the series was canceled after two seasons, Sorry for Your Loss was critically acclaimed with much praise going to Elizabeth Olsen and her performance. In fact, Olsen also executive produced the show and even got nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards.

Olsen portrayed a young woman named Leigh Shaw who, after the death of her husband, realizes just how little she actually knew about him.

5 Drunk History (2013-2019): 7.8, Available On Hulu, Sling TV, Comedy Central & Sun Nxt

Elizabeth Olsen’s appearance in Drunk History was only as a guest star, but that is actually what the whole show is about. The show even got nominated for multiple prestigious awards such as the Primetime Emmy Awards.

The show has narrators retelling a historical event while actors reenact it. Olsen starred in the 2016 episode “Siblings” playing Norma Kopp, one of the Kopp sisters.

In 2007, Mary-Kate Olsen had a recurring role as Tara Lindman in the dark comedy-drama TV series Weeds. The show was considered a huge success for Showtime and Olsen appeared in season 3 which was the highest-rated of all among critics.

The story follows a widowed mother who starts telling marijuana to sustain her life and finds out that her neighborhood is already addicted to the drug.

One of the most popular shows of 2021, WandaVision is Elizabeth Olsen’s latest work where she portrayed the lead role of Wanda Maximoff, a superhero from the Marvel Cinematic Universe who is predicted to be one of the key players in the future of the franchise.

The show is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame and follows Wanda and her now-husband Vision seemingly leading a normal life in a sitcom-style modern town that Wanda has isolated with her magic.

2 HarmonQuest (2016-2019): 8.3, Available On VRV

Another one of Elizabeth Olsen’s guest appearances, the animated web series HarmonQuest also often attracts guest actors to star as players alongside the lead characters of the show.

The series is led by Dan Harmon (creator of Community and co-creator of Rick and Morty) who plays a fantasy role-playing game in front of a live audience. In the episode “The Keystone Obelisk” from season 2, Olsen played Stirrup while Rob Corddry also appeared as a guest star.

The two sisters were the readers of a book-on-tape titled The Harpooned Heart. The book was written by Marge Simpson and was even supposed to have a sequel, but Marge abandoned the endeavor after the first book was poorly received by critics.
