Recently, fans found out that beloved Nickelodeon series iCarly, which starred Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy, Nathan Kress and Jerry Trainor, was receiving a reboot. Fans were sad when the series ended in 2012, but thanks to the reboot, they get to find out where their favorite characters ended up.
The series was about two teenage girls and their tech producer running a popular web show, and all the wacky adventures they had, and the eccentric people they ran into, because of it. Several memes have been created to highlight moments from the show and some of its best jokes.
10 Things That Don’t Make Sense
Carly was definitely frustrated when she was lectured by one of her teachers, Mr. Howard, over her outfit as Gibby walked around shirtless. Gibby certainly knew the handbook well enough to get away with being shirtless. It seems the school failed to make further specifications as to what was and wasn’t acceptable. In this case, Carly should’ve been given a free pass. The joke was funny because the situation was ridiculous; the teachers on iCarly could be pretty brutal.

In the very first episode, Carly asks to borrow Spencer’s video camera so she and her best friend Sam can record talent show auditions. Unfortunately, Spencer’s turned it into a squirrel. This meme captures a funny moment in the pilot episode; a moment that showed audiences how quirky Spencer was, which instantly made him lovable.
8 Looking Into The Future
Early on in the show, Freddie had a major crush on Carly, and would do anything for her. Though the crush fades and they become good friends, it would be interesting to see if this moment on iCarly came true in some form. Did Carly marry Freddie at some point?
Did something happen to her first husband? Did Freddie decide that committing a crime and covering it up wouldn’t be the way to win Carly’s heart? Hopefully, the reboot will let audiences know if they stayed friends or became something more.

Remember Lewbert and Nora? Lewbert was the doorman in Carly, Freddie and Spencer’s building that had a giant wart on his face and a horrible attitude towards anyone that ever entered his lobby. Meanwhile, Nora was an obsessed fan that held Carly, Freddie and Sam as prisoners not once, but twice. The actors that played these memorable characters, Jeremy Rowley and Danielle Morrow, are actually married in real life!
6 Nevel!
Nevel was always an antagonist for the iCarly gang. He resented that Carly didn’t like him back, and each time he came into the lives of Carly and her friends, he usually had an evil plan up his sleeves. Luckily, Carly and her friends outwitted him each time, preventing what would have otherwise been disastrous outcomes. While Nevel was obnoxious and a bit obsessed with Carly, he was still gifted in knowledge of technology, and if anyone could shut down the government, Nevel could very well be capable of pulling something like that off.
5 Sam’s Relatable Moment
Mr. Howard was a grouchy teacher that despised kids. He was brutal in “iGot Detention”; though, karma caught up with him as Principal Franklin happened to be watching iCarly, which captured Mr. Howard’s brutal actions and a few insults that he threw at Principal Franklin.
As the meme shows, he had a tendency to snap at his students, and Sam’s response was brilliant. Sometimes there are mean teachers or boring subjects that students would rather avoid, and this moment of Sam’s made her relatable to audiences.
4 Tacos On A Stick
T-Bo owned Groovy Smoothie, where the iCarly gang frequented, similar to Friends’ Central Perk. T-Bo was usually going around pestering his customers into buying food like bagels and tacos on a stick. In one episode where Carly works for him, she herself points out that it’s impossible to get tacos on a stick without them breaking, to which T-Bo shows her a stick with tacos on them in one piece. It’s still a mystery as to how he did that, and fans would love to know the secret to his technique.
3 Capable Of The Impossible
Spencer knows his limitations, but he has his moments. Spencer was capable of doing what was thought impossible, as the meme suggests by getting the hardest question on a test correct. The recurring joke of Spencer setting things on fire that couldn’t possibly catch fire to begin with is just one example. It might be pure luck, or it might be a stroke of genius to get the hardest question right. Either way, this meme is funny and it celebrates a memorable Spencer moment.
2 Marissa Benson To The Rescue!
Freddie Benson’s mom was neurotic, overprotective, and could be quite annoying, but those traits would certainly come in handy during the pandemic. Rest assured, Freddie would be well protected. She could certainly be a world leader in cleanliness and would definitely have a few ideas in how to prevent the virus from getting into anyone’s home.
It’s even possible that she could be part of the team that finds a cure; Marissa Benson is just that good at cleanliness. Audiences remember how far she went to keep Freddie safe and groomed; imagine if that power was unleashed on the rest of the world!
1 Questions Gone Unanswered…
Spencer is frustrated by the repairman that can’t seem to answer his question regarding how long the elevator will be out of order. Audiences can certainly relate to that same frustration now, given it’s still uncertain when the quarantine will be over. This meme makes that joke pretty relatable by extent. Audiences may not know when quarantine will end, but at least they can look forward to the iCarly reboot and watch reruns in the meantime.
