However, the movie revealed that the lifesize doll was being manipulated by the adult Brahms who had been living in the walls of his parent’s house since his apparent death in a house fire. The “monster” reveal left fans divided, but resulted in a sequel that further explored Brahms.

While it was an interesting premise, the movements and look of the creature were laughable and the horror of the film was lost for some fans.
